How to replace a termal fuse

A thermal fuse may or may not be your problem. Do any of the power light or lights on the set come on?

A brand and model number would assist me in helping you find your problem.

Maxi dry 456 not heating

not necessarily the ellement is the main cause although most of the time it is the ellement that cause the problem...because of poor terminal contact from the power source. The timer of the drier also when mal function will cause the problem you need to clean the contact of the timer..need to check also whether a termistor and termal fuse is present on the circuit.use a tester to check the continuity of the termal fuse and termistor replace if open..

hope this could help you.Goodluck!
your rate culd help this post tnx..

DRYER HAS NO HEAT AND I WANT TO TEST THE HEATING ELEMENT BUT AM NOT SURE HOW.

you should be able to remove the back panel (after unplugging the AC power!) to see the coil under the barrel. You can use a multimeter set to ohms to measure the resistance across the 2 connectors of the coil, will probably need to unplug the connection to get accurate ready. If the resistance is infinate, the coil is bad.

However it is more likely that the termal fuse has blown rather than the element itself being bad. Follow the connectors up to find it, it should have 0 resistance if still good, infinite is blown.

Termal fuses have spring loaded contacts inside held in place with wax. If the tempurature gets too high, the wax melts allowing the contacts to separate. They can't be reset but replacements aren't expensive.

If the termal fuse turns out to be the problem, check the vents for lint build up or other restrictions. (Both inside the dryer from the filter on, and the external hose going outside.) Restictions on the exhuast can cause the heat to build, and is a fire hazard as well.

Heater works, not blower.

Chech the blower motor to see if its working. Unplug the wire harnes and run a jumper wire to the blower motor. you will need two wires, one hot, one negitave. Put the + on on termal and the - on the other termal. make sure the wires do not touch each other and see if the fan motor will turn. If not, the motor is bad and has to be replaced.

Infiniti I 30 will not start

I am assuming the fuse was not an issue before replacing the starter. You probably pinched a wire with the starter when you installed it. Take the starter back out and inspect the wiring harness, also see if the fuse blows when the starter is removed.
