Is the problem with your flat panel ?
or flat crt tv ?
In the cause crt tv, there is the problem with vertical deflection driver IC or vertical deflection coils (some times called YOKE).
In cause of flat panel tv, there is the problem with the panel, the panel may be broken.

My Samsung TV developed a a single blue vertical line on the left side. what could possibly cause that.

2 thin vertical blue lines, near center and right side. Do i need to replace LRC buffer boards. Z50p3 50 in plasma.


By thin line I assume its one pixel in width. A single pixel wide line is an indicator of a defective panel.

hi there, is the single line horizontally or vertically? if horizontal line, you do have a vertical section problem, check some parts at vertical section, the vertical ic, the power source of vertical section ie diode & resistors. ty

Philips Flat Screen Green Lines


The LCD Panel is defective. You will need to replace the LCD Panel. It will probably be cheaper to replace the monitor since the LCD Panel may exceed the monitor cost.

Single lines of single color (red,green, blue) are LCD panel failures.

1 or 2 lines of single color are LCD Panel failures.

Multple color lines could be anything so in this case you start by checking the power circuit.
