Question about Samsung MU3250W Microwave Oven

2 Answers

I have a Samsung MU3250W microwave that will not work. It lights up 8888 on the display screen when you plug it in. I have pushed the pause/cancel button but nothing happens. You can not get the 8888 of the screen. The light will come on when you open the door. Any suggestions?

The fuse is fine. So would that mean the the control board needs to be replaced. Could there be a problem with the key pad that would cause this to happen?

It could have been steam or humidity.

If this is an over the range model, be sure you always use the hood vent exhaust fan when you're cooking on the stove top.

Whether it's a counter top or over the range top, always be aware that the cooling fan is running when it's cooking.

When in doubt feel for air flow through the vents.

if its all fine... then ur control board might have shorted....... u might have to look for replacements for any burnt capacitors or may be even the entire board......
i strongly feel its the humidity.....
if u feel i ve been of help to u..... kindly rate my service......
good luck......

Hi ashley,

the issue on the your unit is the control board, you may have a blown fuse or a blown up capacitor that sets the display to 88888.

When you open the unit from the back, you will see a bubbled capacitor in the control board itself or a blown up fuse near the power supply. You can have this repaired or part replaced by an authorized dealer.

hope this helps.

regards,

voodoo

Sumsung MU3250W shut down

The problem is your magnetron tube is leaking RF. The mag tube comes on 2-3 seconds after you hit start, and the RF interfears with the board and shuts it down. Drop the front of the control panel down and watch, it wont happen.. Get a new mag tube put in and you'll be good to go.

?E - 5" message

From Samsung's FAQs:

"Some models are equipped with a sensor that can automatically adjust the oven's heating time based on the amount of steam in the oven. If your microwave is displaying E1, E4, or E5, there may be an issue with the gas sensor. For an E1 error, press the Cancel button and check on the food.

"Other microwaves do not give specific error messages and just display "8888" on the LED. If you get this error message, your microwave needs service.

"If the message is either ERROR or E-6, it indicates a mechanical fault.

"For all error indications, including the SE or 5E error, try unplugging the microwave from the outlet for at least ten minutes and then plug it back in. If the error persists, the microwave may require service. Please use our ASC Locator to find your nearest Authorized Service Center."

Samsung microwave -the electrical panel runs, the

it sounds like it one of your micro-switches inside that control the power to the doors, if one of the switches is bad, it would cut the power , the panenl will light, the turn table will work, the fan will turn on , but you will not get any heat at all, micro-switches run depending onthe unit from 5-10 bucks, when you open the unit you will see the one that is bad, is usually bent or the connector might be burn or melt, good luck..!

Quit working

SE probably means a sensor error.

The first thing to try is a "hard reset". Unplug it from the power line for a few minutes, plug it back in, set the clock, then try again.

Otherwise, it may have a problem with the control panelm such as moisture or contamination or a bad connection.

Let us know if the hard reset doen't fix it, and please write back with more details if you need further help.
