the icemaker is not making ice due to the fact that the valve solenoid may need replacing.
check the water line into the icemaker, to make sure that you don't have a water leak.
the reason the fridge is running is due to the fact that it's trying to remove as much warm air out as possible.
i would have a technician look at it.

That model refrigerator uses the mother control board for deciding when defrost is to take place. It has no defrost timer or Adaptive Defrost Control like other refrigerators. This sounds like *********** board part number WR55X10942 is malfunctioning. The board decides most functions of your refrigerator. Until the board is replace I do not believe the problem will resolve itself. Thanks, Sea Breeze

I think the Adaptive Defrost Control may be your problem part number 12566102 You may find it inside the fresh food compartment and behind the controls where you adjust the tempertaures. I will return with photos and links, Sea Breeze

You have a bad defrost thermostat . You will have to remove the rear panel inside the freezer , and at the top of the coils , will be a 1" cylinder with 2 wires going to it . This is the defrost thermostat ( bimetal ) . Power to the fan motor goes thru this piece for the fan to operate . If it is bad , no defrost and no fan .
It was designed this way , so that the coils will be cold when the fan starts up , sending cold air to the refrig after defrost . Otherwise , warm air would circulate until the coils got cold .
