Babylock esante ESe error message keeps popping up . Safety device has operated. Check if thread is tangled or if needle is bent

Been sewing alot with no probs at all and suddenly yesterday , this error message keeps popping up (Safety device has operated. Check if thread is tangled or if needle is bent) after the first few stitches and then won't do anything. I have had some need for recalibration and that hasn't worked this time after several tries. NOthing happens when touching the * beside the 5 #'s. Have changed the needles, cleaned bobbin and up around thread area with cap off...thread runs smoothly. Help!

SOURCE: I have a 10 yr. old Baby Lock Esante that when trying to fill a bobbin, I get this error message: Safety device has operated. Check if thread is tangled or if needle is bent, then the machine stops.

I would suggest rethreading the machine to make sure the thread is not caught somewhere, & even change the needle or check to make sure the needle is in correctly & pushed all the way up in the needle holder
& if that doens't help then take it back to the repair shop & tell them about the problem

Error message "the safety device has been activated. Is the thread tangled? Is the needle bent?" Occurred after needle no 5 broke and fell out. The machine

If the safety has been activated, there is something wrong with the machine that could potentially be dangerous--to the machine or you. You should probably take it to a technician.

I keep getting error E6 on Brothers CS 6000i- I cleaned the thread several times and when I try to restart sewing it happens again. I've removed the bobbin and re-threaded and it keep jammin and beeping....

The motor locked up because the thread is tangled.
Solution:
Remove the tangled thread before continuing the operation.
Clean the bobbin case to remove the tangled thread.
After cleaning the bobbin case, insert the bobbin case properly.
If the needle is bent or broken, replace the needle.
Then, thread the upper thread properly, and continue the operation.

Messages about safe device activated & press the needle position button

The noise is because the machine is trying to raise or lower a needle and can't move. Several things to check. Did the needle break and jam in the bottom thread? Is the needle bent or jam? Did the thread jam in the bobbin area? I had a 'knot' of thread build up on the bottom and it hooked itself into the metal clip on the bobbin so that the needle couldn't raise. If thread jams in the bottom carefully cut the threads until you can free the hoop and material. Then check to make sure all pieces of thread and fuzz has been removed in the bobbin case. If it happens again check to see if the bobbin case or the throat plate is scratched or bent. If you are stitching Free Standing Lace on this machine or a piece with over 20,000 stitches I recommend starting with a new full bobbin and a new needle. As you get toward the bottom of the bobbin, thread seems to have a high likelihood of tangling or looping.

Babylock Esante stopped. Just makes loud noise but won't move even manually.

You probably have a jam. Start digging under the bobbin area.

If you get it all cleaned up under there... and it still won't move. Time for service by a pro. Could be something horrid like a bent shaft.

Good luck
