Question about Zebra S4M Thermal Label Printer
Hi,I think that this is causing the print quality problems that we are having. When I print a PAUSE self test, the label prints out perfect. When I print out a normal label it is very faint. This is a new "2nd hand" printer which we are just setting up.I've noticed a "Ribbon In" message on the LCD screen - which would indicate that it was set to Direct Transfer, but when I check the settings it is on Thermal. However, in the past I have notice this change from Thermal Transfer, with no intervention from us
.Any ideas much appreciated.
If you are using a windows printer driver then perhaps you have "Direct Thermal" selected in the printer preferences. The driver setting will override anything you have set in the printer. So every time you send a new print job the settings get changed to what they are in the driver.
