Usually a build-up of white stuff at the gas outlet near the pilot. Try cleaning it with a small brush. If this doesn't work, confirm that there is an increase in gas flow when you turn up the range control. If not, it could be a bad control valve.

Check the thermocouple, it generates the electrical power from the flame of the pilot to open the gas valve.

The pilot light won't stay lit when you turn it from pilot to a temperature setting

some times there is a glitch in knob.try holding flame at piolit while turning knob.be careful.do not bring flame later.you might be able to raise flame size .what happens when main valve comes on there is a slight drop in pressure look on gas valve for adjusting screw, might be under a cap . if none of this helps the orifice might be too small you have to take piolit assembly apart to get to it.

Pilot will light and stay lit for 1 to 2 mins. Logs lit once but only for about 30 secs. There is NO gas flow after the fire goes out. If you wait a few minutes there is enough gas to repeat this same...

this is closely guarded secret. get a can of air for dusting computers and lightly blow dust out of piolit assembly.I've made allot of money doing this.merry xmass.if this doesn't work then you probbaly need a new part.or if piolit is too small it might need cleaning.

yea, they don't want any liability.a pressure conversion for most gas valves is simply changing a spring.you can get an adjustable regulator if yours doesn't come apart.sounds like you have enough pressure I'd take the piolit apart and open up the orfice hole its real tiny.also burner hole could be widened a bit.I'd never do this for a customer because of liabality, but would be safe as long safties are in place

Since you are already this far you have some knowledge of how you dryer works. What is wrong now is the heat sensor that picks up that the pilot is on. The pilot should burn at a steady flame when you turn the dryer on to heat this in turn heats a probe next to the piolit this is a type of heat sensor. When the probe or heat sensor senses heat it tells the gas valve that its okay to turn on. Have a great day and hope this helps.
