To hard reset a tablet, hold the power button down until it shuts off then press it to turn back on. Should take about 5 - 10 seconds for the device to power off.

time to replace the adapter, you can take it to a best buy or a electronic store to be sure. ask then to test the laptop, with and adapter they might charge a fee, better to be safe than sorry
i figure an adapter last about 1-2 year depends on how you treat them.
If you do not take care of your electronics, your electronics will not take care of YOU!

Take the battery out of your device and inspect the pins on the tablet. If they are very dirty or if something is stuck between pins, it could cause the battery to fail at transferring the correct power for the device in order for it to stay on. If all the pins look ok and it still doesn't work after putting the battery back in, you may have an issue with the motherboard which will need to be serviced by the manufacture.
Here are some battery LED codes from the manual:
LED steady green --> battery 100% charged AC plugged in LED steady amber --> battery charging AC plugged in LED steady red --> battery overheated or defective (replace it) LED flashing green and amber --> battery discharging abnormally (replace it) LED slow-flashing amber --> 10% battery charge remaining AC unplugged LED fast-flashing amber for only a few seconds --> 3% battery charge remaining AC unplugged

I fixed mine like this, unfortunately you will lose all your data on the system.
1) Whilst holding down the Power button, hold down the Volume+ button for about 10 seconds and let go.
The table should boot into a screen with an Android with a open chest and a danger sign on top.
2) Press the Volume+ button, and the recovery menu will appear.
3) Press the Volume- button, to move to "Wipe data/Factory Reset" and press the Power button to select that option.
4) Press the Volume- button to move to "yes" and press the Power button to accept.
Now the system will wipe the data and factory reset the tablet.
5) When it returns to the menu, make sure it is on "Reboot system now" and then press the Power button.
The tablet will now reboot and should load.
