Question about Nikon D50 Digital Camera with 28-80mm Lens

Nikon d50 takes black picture w/ lens cap off

Essentially pictures come and go. The first time it happened I took the camera to my daughters swim class in January . It took black pictures no error message when I returned home it was fine but this caused me to miss swimming shots and my nephews bday . It happened again sporadically but seemed to consistently happen when I left my house. Today (April) I brought the camera outside to take pics of my daughters tball set experience and haven't been able to take pictures with it all day either outside or inside. Help!

Sounds like a settings issue please provide more information such as what is your camera set at; ISO, Shutter speed, F-Stop & how are you using it, manual mode. Aperture priority, shutter priority or Auto? I would need this info to further direct you in trouble shooting your issue.

Testimonial: "I have tried adjusting iso the only thing that changes is that there are red lines at higher settings. It's at 200 now. I usually use auto focus but I tried switching to manual and no changes. Tried in all 4 modes w/ no change. Idk what f-stop is, not listed in user guide. Varying shutter speeds also changed frequency of red lines. In auto it seems to start at 60."

Sounds like a mechanical problem, you should take it to a service center to have it diagnosted.

My Pentax Optio W50 has power up problems. It will start up then Power down straight away. I put it on the radiator in case there was any water as my Daughter in law took it swimming, battery is fully...

The battery is usually the first to go in water damage. It might run off of the power chord. Try putting the camera in a bag of uncooked rice overnight. It will **** up all the moisture and it works surprisingly well. Just make sure no rice will get anywhere you cant get it out of.

Well, your first problem is that the phone is not completly waterproof. (as in taking it for a swim) Many consumers have complained about this phone not actually being waterproof. I would get myself to the wireless store and complain pronto!!!!

Error message BUSY

The camera is trying to save a "large" picture to the memory card.
This probably happens when you shoot several pictures in close sequence. The memory cards can't keep up.

Some memory cards are faster than others. Look at your card... there is a "class" number within a circle... like "4" ...
The highest class (fastest) is a Class 6.

A new class standard is emerging. In the new series, a Class 10 is the highest... not sure if you will find any.

Use a class 6 memory card, and don't bee too impatient when you do rapid shooting.

Usb connections

New Compaq Presario V5315WM was graduation gift for daughter June 2007. By January 2008 she called from college and said that the USB connection was not working. When she plugs anything in, printer, camera, mp3 player etc a message comes up saying that the device is not recognized. She took it to the computer center and they are stumped. We took it to circuit city when she got home for Easter and they said that this happens to some compacs and we should contact the company. Advice!

Kodak md853

hi! my sister-in-law gave me a MD853 camera last week from Canada. I used it over the weekend when we went on a trip and the pictures and videos i took were great. Last night, my daughter took a picture of me and when she took a picture of her brother, there was only white on the a moving white sheet with colored edges. I thought she destroyed it or something. I tried to use it but now the screen is all black...last night only the video worked but this morning everything is black. The other programs in the camera works so i suspect the problem must be in the lens. I'm in the Philippines and if I send it back to Canada for repairs it would just take a long time and it will be expensive to send it back. What can I do? I really love this camera... help!!!
