Question about Lands Phones
The phone will not switch on do we need to replace battery in handset.... What's the correct button to press to switch phone on
Phone should turn on by itself. Have you left the phone in the base long enough for the battery to charge. It could take up to 24 hours. If you want to change the battery there is normally a section of the case on the bottom back of the handset that slides down to reveal the battery. Check the cost of the battery first, I have found that sometimes it is better to upgrade to a new phone due to the price of replacement batteries.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

first, hold down the "handset locator" button on the base, until the "charge" light flashes. then, hold down the flash/call waiting button until the LCD says "handset registering." if after about a minute it says "error!!!" then try again. that is what the instuctional booklet says. i have not done this successfully yet as i have the same problem, but this is apparently how you fix it.

SOURCE: adding new expansion handset
You will need to register it to your base station before it will work. You do so by holding down the registration/page key on the bottom of your base for a couple of seconds, and then grab your SL30 and push Menu, scroll down to the option of Handset settings, press OK, then scroll to "registration" and push OK, select base station 1, press OK, then enter the default pin of 0000 and press ok. Repeat these steps if first not successful. You can download a manual for free on our website at www.cordlessrepair.com
