www.phillips.com is a website NOT an email address. So you will need to go to that web site to register your vacuum.

Clog somewhere. There may be a " secondary filter" that needs to be replaced. It may be there to "protect" the motor and blower.
Check Owner's manual and it's troubleshooting. Customer service is usualy helpful if you email or call.

How do I adjust height for carpet brush on DC28 Dyson animal?

Hi Laura, it's Jack at Dyson

DC28's selector pad (located by the red on/off switch) allows you to select the correct height setting for the particular flooring you're cleaning. Patented Dyson Airmuscle technology will then raise or lower the rotating brush bar within the cleaner head to the correct level for optimum performance, or shut it off for cleaning bare floors or delicate rugs.

I hope this helps, but if you have any further questions or if you're having difficulty with your DC28, you're welcome to get in touch directly. You can reach our experts by emailing askdysonUS@dyson.com

Long and short tubing

Hi Sharon, it's Jack at Dyson.

To replace the internal hose (the short section of flexible hose underneath the cleaner head), please follow the steps shown in the video above. The internal hose has a push-fit connection at both ends - please make sure it's pushed firmly into place.

To replace the main hose at the rear of the machine, please take a look at our Support guide: http://www.dyson.com/support/dc28/dc28-animal/diagnosis-root-menu/dc28filterwashvid/wand-suction-dc28/wand-from-hose-dc28/hose-suction-dc28/redirect-to-check-the-hose-dc28/check-the-hose-dc28

If you remove the clear bin and cyclone pack from the machine as if you were about to empty it, you should see the hose release tab to disengage the hose from the machine.

I hope this helps, but if you need any further guidance please email askdysonUS@dyson.com, and one of our experts will be in touch as soon as possible.

Best wishes,

Jack

Hello - I am trying to find a replacement part for a SNO portable ice maker - it is the rotating plastic plate that collects the ice as it comes off of the freezing nubs then pivots and dumps the ice into...

Hi Scott and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
Your talking about either the T-1A or the T-2M portable ice makers by Whynter. The only think I can recommend is that you contact them directly here:
Phone: 866-WHYNTER Email:info@whynter.com
or use this link to use an on line contact form:
http://www.whynter.com/contact_us

I do not know of any external sources for the part you need.

Their ice maker products are here:

This information is from their product guide:

I have a Betty Crocker BC 1679C Toaster Oven and I need a replacement control knob (the dial that you turn to adjust the temperature). Can you please advide where I can find this part.

I couldn't come up with the part# or even who manufacturers Betty Crocker's appliances. I do notice on their website (bettycrockerstore.com) that they have an email contact for help with replacement parts. It is on the contact page. Under 'select a subject', choose 'product information'. "Help with replacement parts" is the second option. There is also an 800 number and a mailing address listed. Here is the site: http://www.bettycrockerstore.com/HelpContactUs.aspx
Hope this helps

I bought a replacement brushroll because the one in the vaccum cleaner is worn out.How do I go about putting the brush in the vaccum cleaner. Do I pull it out or do I have to unscrew the entire bottom...

Greetings from GoVacuum,

Make sure the vacuum is NOT plugged in. In order to replace the roller brush, you'll need to unscrew the 6 screws on the bottom plate of the vacuum cleaner. Oreck uses a Phillips Head screw, so you'll need to get a Phillips head screw driver to replace the brush.

After removing the screws from the bottom plate, simply pull up on the plate by putting your fingers into the open area where the existing brush is located. After the bottom plate has been removed you will have access to the roller brush and belt.

You can now just grab the roller brush and pull straight up on it. It's beneficial to change the belt of the vacuum when you're replacing the roller brush anyways. There is a spare belt on the actual bottom plate of all Oreck XL vacuums.

You'll notice that the new roller brush has two black square plastic caps on both sides of the roller brush. You can look on the outside of this black cap, and you'll see the words OLD and NEW. Rotate the NEW side so it's facing upwards, and the OLD side is the side that's down inside the vacuum cleaner, make sure that both sides have the NEW side facing upwards. You'll need to wrap the belt around the silver pin in the back of the vacuum on one side, and through the roller brush's metal pulley on the other side. The just stretch the belt with the brush inside of it, and place the black plastic parts back into the vacuum cleaner.

Congratulations, you've now just replaced the roller brush in your Oreck!

My vacuum won't pick anything up

Make sure that brush is rotating. Check if you have the right height adjustment. Check for blockage.
You can see instructions how to adjust height and change belt if needed on our website:

Hoover Steam Cleaner F5914-900
When squeezing trigger and Depressing Clean surge Button on Upper handle of the Hoover Steam Cleaner F5914-900 there is no & quot; snap& quot;
indicating trigger rod is in place. Everything else went in as instructed. The screws and bolts were no problem
this concerns me because the main complaint I read about this model was leaking from the trigger and clean surge and the problem was not getting the rod in place. No matter how many tries or people (three) it still doesn't occur.

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
I would suggest getting a schematic, owners manual or product breakdown to see what you are doing wrong or to check with the Hoover tech support line to see if the can either mail, fax or email the schematic to you so that you can complete your service job. There is something definitely happening with the serv job that we are overlooking and the schematic or product breakdown will help in the serv job you are doing, it sounds to me that you are doing things right but there could be another broken part or while installing the current part may not have been install properly, or is in need of an adjustment. Feel free to contact your local vac dealer or contact the Hoover Tech Line listed below:
So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
