SOURCE: power was off

You need to replace 4 capacitors on the DM board. It is located inside a metal box on the left side of the set, looking from the rear. The original parts are 1000uf 16v. You will need to install 1000uf 25v or 35v. They are located at the top of the board and are green colored.

SOURCE: Blinking Yellow light on a HD 65" DLP Toshiba TV

I have a 56 inch tohiba DLP (56 HM 195). Replaced the bulb for the second time this year. last time only lasted 3 months. TV is tough to turn on. When I get it to turn on, and then shut it down, the yellow light blinks constantly for 5-7 mintues. Then it shuts down completely. Is the set overheating? There is nothing in the manual that speaks to this issue. thank you

Green LIght Blinking

Does the led ever stop blinking? No ..well in that case generally this indicates a standby voltage problem...if all those voltages ok then the cuircit known as digital module is at fault. also make sure the lockout has not been activiated. i really dont think it could but to unlock hold menu button down for 10 seconds. After all that i believe it would be a bad digital module

Blinking amber power button light on Optiplex 990

It seems you have a problem with your Processor regulator that is why your computer sending an amber message.
This problem always happens to Dell Optiplex mostly and there is no solution for this except replacing your Motherboard.

Reseated? How Rick?

Did you;
1) Have the computer unplugged from power, and follow Anti-Static Precautions?
2) Did you clean the top of the processors, and bottom of the Heatsink's - Thoroughly, and properly apply new, fresh thermal paste?

[ If they had thermal pads on the Processors, remove them, throw them as far as you can.
One, they are JUNK. Two, you cannot reuse them.

The imprint has been made, and you cannot imprint over.

{The Heatsink, and Processor make an imprint on a thermal pad. The pad is squeezed down. You cannot re-squeeze again, and make a successful complete contact. A thermal pad also dries out a lot faster than thermal paste. Poor design ]

Almost sounds like a problem with the motherboard voltage regulator circuit, if the Processors were handled with Anti-Static Precautions being observed, and new thermal paste being used, after proper cleaning.

I have a Sony kv-40xbr800. The standby light flashes 6-7 times and does not turn on. If left off for a couple of day, it may turn on. Is there an easy fix?

SIX Blinks---No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking selfdiagnosis
function immediately. Check C515 & 516 and the jungle IC, IC206.

SEVEN Blinks---High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k
and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply
regulation and horizontal circuits.

If you're going through regulators that often I would suggest going after the stator. Make sure it's not grounding out on the chassis. Find the 3 yellow or white wires that are connected to the regulator. using a meter in OHMS ( looks like the horseshoe ) with the bike off check wire one (red ) to wire 2 ( black ) then wire one ( red ) to 3 (black ), then 2 (red ) to 1 ( black ) and 2 ( red ) to 3 ( black ) , then pick one ( red ) and black to the chassis, motor, ground. somewhere metal on the bike. The first series of tests you should get some sort of numbers, ( which should be somewhat close in numbers ) When you go to ground, Chassis you should get no numbers, OFL, OL, or the horseshoe sign if you get numbers there, the stator is bad and your transmitting ac voltage to the chassis.

Want hold a charge

get a test light and a schematic. unplug stator plug.start bike ,make sure battery has full charge. test each pin on connector that is attatched to the 3 yellow wires.should light on each pin. if all good check for burn marks around connectors, front & back sides, and on wires. if no power on yellow wires, stator problem. if power, plug connector together, now test for voltage in wires on the voltage regulator side of the connector, to see if the voltage is making it through the connector.if there is power to volt. regulator, test w/ multi meter across battery leads to see if there is charging voltage to battery, approximately 13-15 volts. if only battery voltage(12.2 or less) while bike is running, voltage regulator is no good.if charging good, but bike wont start after prolonged sitting(say overnight) a system amp draw test is needed to see if something is staying powered up while bike is not running, drawing down battery.
