I know this is a daft question but can you rock the washer when it is empty just try from right hand corner then the left hand corner if you can move it back and forth the washer is not level and needs the legs under the washer adjusting to level it and stop it jumping about other then that if it is an old machine their are two shock absorbers in the machine that can leak and let it bounce around if one side has gone and not the other both are easy to fix once you know with one is the problem

SOURCE: my brand new amana washer shakes violently when spinning

try adjusting the feet on the bottom of the washer the floor may not be level to adjust the legs turn them with a wrench or if the lock nuts are not tight turn the legs clockwise as you look at the front of the machine till all four feet are sung on all 4 corners. This is the most common problem. hope this helps and thanks for using fix-ya

Hello. I have a Amana top laod washer. My washer will spin(i can hear it spin and see it shakes as it spin). My washer will not fill with water when I turn it to a washer cycle. No water will fill in this...

If you're not getting any water (hot or cold), you'll need to check voltage coming to the solenoid valve. This is the valve the hoses connect to on the back of the washer. If you're not getting voltage during the fill cycle, your timer is the most likely culprit.

I have an Amana Top Load Washer Model Number ntw4800vq1 The washer shakes violently during the Spin Cylce. It will walk across the floor. I took the console off and removed the outer shell. I checked...

Hi

for the question of water comming in the spin cycle, yes its normal we call it a spray rinse. For the shaking check your leveling and also make sure that the back leveling feet when lifting back of washer up and down that the foot mechanism is functining.

Hope this helps

Amana washing machine makes loud noice when trying to spin

sounds like you are dealing with the same problem as me .
take off the front panel (after unplugging power) take a flash lite and look at the large pulley at the back just below the pulley is the helix check to see if they are worn .

AMANA WASHER WON'T SPIN. HOW DO I REPLACE THE BELT?

is this a whirlpool built amana? if so, its most likely a direct drive model, and when it doesn`t spin its likely a coupling between the gearcase and motor assembly...youtube has videos on how its replaced, which isn`t too complicated to do...good luck

Amana NAV8800AWW making noise while running and spining. It used to shake the floor while spining. But lately machine is making noise but not as shaky as it use to be. Thanks for your help.

Spin Shake is usually contributed to a weak floor support condition. Also, carpeting under the leveling legs can cause a "spongey" effect, which can produce the shakes. Prolonged shaking can cause parts to loosen and make noise.Firstly, we must determine what loosened up from all the shaking.

Remove the front panel by removing the 2-5/16" screws located at the bottom front. Pull out at the bottom to release the top retainer clips, and set aside.
Warning! Never reach inside the machine while it is in operation!
Investigate the cause of the noise by setting the washer to spin, and turn on. Inspect all moving parts for possible wear or breakage. Next, stop the machine and inspect for loose or worn suspension parts, nuts, bolts, struts, hoses banging the cabinet, etc. A protective motor cover can cause noise, or a belt slapping the base mount. Once you have conquered your noise issue, then we will have to eliminate the shakes, provided, what you repaired wasn't the cause...and usually isn't.

Carpeting under the leveling legs should be removed or cut away.
If other items in and around the laundry room shake, then you will need to add support to your floor joists. Shim the floor from under the house while the washer is spinning for best results.

Your installation instruction manual should tell how level the washer properly, after you have added support to your floor.

Good Luck! Post me back if can be of more assistance.
