Question about Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player

1 Answer

My zen V plus has stopped working after some computer problems

I had hooked my zen v plus up to my computer to sync with windows media player and then windows media player froze up. I started the task manager and ended the program. I then disconnected my zen v plus. After this I restarted windows media player and attempted to re attach my zen v plus to the computer. When I plugged my mp3 player in a green vertical line appeared on the screen of my zen. I disconnected my mp3 player and now it will not turn on or respond or anything. Is there any way to fix this?

I was reading around some other problems and found that if i just reset the zen by plugging it into my computer, holding the on switch down and pushing a small pin in the reset hole, my mp3 player started working again!

I can't delete anything off of my Zen when it's hooked up to my computer. Also when I try to sync it Windows Media player says error and none of the songs sync.

try formatting the device... if that doesnt work, put it into restore mode by holding the play button while turning it on.the select clean up option...do not try the firmware upgrade option beacuse it may get stuck on recovery mode.

yeah here's what you need to do
go on control panel>system>hardware>device manger.

if your zen comes with a video converter then slip into you r pc to install. for downloading music you would have to plug your zen into the pc go to windows media player or whatever you have and simply sync your music on to your zen.

My zen wont sync

You don't have enough room on your drive to do this. I had the same problem. I took all my router ports off and connected just my creative vision player only and it worked. Computer system was over loaded.

No license to play/sync license from PC - Zen Creative V Plus

Start up Window Media player on your computer. Plug your Zen device into the computer. Wait until you see it listing in WMP. Unplug the Zen and see if you can play the songs.
The licenses on the device should be updated by WMP when you plug in the device

Won't recognize that it is connected

do you have media player 11?
ZenV Freezes
Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.
try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?
