ICE CREAM WON'T FREEZE
The ice cream does not freeze, it stays soft. I have a GE Monogram 42" Built-in-Side-by-Side Refrigerator.

Don't know who to believe these days. When the compressor won't start and over heats the start relay, start capacitor and external overload may be the most likely reason. The door frames have heat strips that is normal. Sea Breeze

check if it is the fan make that noise and not the compressor but if it is the compressor then you might need a new starter unit to the compressor

there are no fins just a compressor with copper tubing and a fan in the back. there is a cardboard flap. just take it off and clean out to see in.
