Is the gas tank is empty. Old gas can also lead to problems starting, There is a product you can add for old gas issues see your DIY or hardware store this happens often if you have last season's gas in your mower, drain your fuel tank and fill with fresh gas. some other thoughts might be Loose, Dirty or Disconnected Spark Plug Check it out, clean off debris, re-connect and tighten. Dirty Air Filter Clean or replace. Fuel Not Reaching the Engine Tap the side of the carburetor to help the flow of gas. If this doesn't work, you might need a new fuel filter.

My electric lawnmower starts, but has a rumbling sound and the blade doesn't turn.

Rick the rumbling sound is the brushes. They need to be replaced. Dont try and use it or you will completely damage the motor.

Download a Copy of the Kitchenaid Service manual.

You may have to remove the Motor Housing and use a small screwdiver
to completely remove the brushes or all portions of them if they are broken.

Roller brush on Kenmore model: 116.31199100 won't turn

Refer to Larryclare1's solution at http://www.fixya.com/support/t1095798-kenmore_model_116_powermate_jr_stopped It worked great for me. Replace the belt, which you can get at Sears Parts store/online and clean out the hair as per Larryclare's instructions.

The motor stopped and I cannot get it working again. I ws using it and then it went dead. nothingfunctions. the motor will nt even make a noise.

I would first check that the motor brushes aren't worn out. They are held behind the black blastic caps on either side of the mixer head. These caps unscrew and the motor brushes are held in with a spring. Note the direction they go in, they are keyed and will only work when put in the right way. Use a torch to check. There is a picture of a new brush here: http://kitchenaidmixerspares.co.uk/Home/tabid/36/ProductID/88/Default.aspx

Fan stopped working. Could it be the relay. If

I remember those winters living North of you in MB.-50 some days...Winterpeg...
I will ask my tech about the relay but I would suspect the blower motor brushes. Check your power on several speed settings. My Camry had a resistor set up on the fan housing where one speed stopped working one one speed. Upon dismantling under dash I discovered one of several resistors on the fan housing was shot which caused that speed setting alone to fail. I couldn't buy it separately at the time so I found one in a wrecker. If all speeds are dead check your fuse and suspect worn brushes on the motor.
If you can bump the housing and hear the fan start and stop that's another indication that its likely brushes. If your bearing is worn and you can hear the fan start and stop and wobble when you hit a bump, again a symptom of motor problem versus switch or relay. Not sure if you can buy brushes only, but if you are really handy you can sometimes rebuild the blower if the brushes are failed. Given your prolonged used in winter your blower likely has more wear than one in a more moderate climate so I would look there first, under dash, knee level near the glove box.Post back and I'll talk with my tech today.

could be a couple things, unplug tool and look at the pins on both the cord and the pin housing to make sure none pushed back, next remove handle half and remote electronic and look for a loose flag terminal at the brush holder, look for loose wires on the switch, (give a gentle tug) and remove the brushes and look for unusual wear patterns and possibly a burnt brush spring. Let me know if you need more help.

I'd first check the brushes for wear and dirt buildup. If worn badky, replace -- otherwise clean, replace, try motor. I doubt the motor is shot unless you've really been abusing it.
