Where would I go to get a back light for a Technics PR-305 Liquid crystal display

It could be the light, or it could be the inverter that powers the backlight. Try asking this guy: http://www.mikebarden.com/technics-electronic-digital-kn-pr-px-piano-keyboard-ensemble-repairs/

Recording problem

1. Press and hold down the ASSIGN A button (the light should be blinking) then (simultaneously) press the REC button above channel number 1. The light should blink when you do this.
2. Release the ASSIGN A and the REC button
3. Press the REC button above channel 1 (the light should be blinking by itself)
4. You should see the meters moving with in the display above Input A and Track 1 when you speak into the microphone.
5. Press the REWIND button twice until the display reads ABS 00.00.00.00
6. Press and hold the RECORD button and press the PLAY button. The REC light above channel one, the PLAY light and the RECORD light should become solid.
7. After recording press the STOP button.
8. Press the REWIND button twice until the display reads ABS 00.00.00.00
9. Press the PLAY button.

Simmons sd9k has no display.it lights up,no print

I fixed mine it had the same issue bye opening it up by taking the screws out and carefully open it up and look for any corrosion or buildup on the circuit board then take a q-tip and dip it into isopropyl alcohol rubbing alcohol and just clean up any corrosion on the boards then look for the ribbon cable connection that is connected to the display try pushing the connector in to make sure it's firmly set in there on both ends of it and put it back together. I don't know what caused the screen to not display the actual text because I bought it used at a swap meet but I tried this and it worked.

Hi theres nothing showing up on the blue screen

If sound is going through this, then the display is the only problem. Some of these use a gas-discharge display and when cold or haven't been used for a while, they don't start right away.

If this might be the problem you can try helping the display ionize by shining a bright, perferably Halogen light into the window of the display. Let unit warm up and set awhileto see if display will come on.

Lcd display is what seem to be to bright hard to read black info .or the black symbols are very light hard to read with bright orange lighted display thanks Mark

You don't say what device this is on, HOWEVER most thngs have a "contrast" control that will adjust the visibility.

Sometimes they call this a viewing angle control and sometimes it is a small shaft from the back of a unit, OTHER times it is a setting available through a menu... if you can read the display enough to find it...

Effects Panel

If other lights are on, I have seen a case where the display does not light for a time, especially if it is cold. The gas in the display takes some time to light up like some neon bulbs... the effects should still work, you just can't see the display. Usually the display will eventually come on after a few minutes after being off for long periods. Sometimes one can encourage the display by external radiation such as a cell phone in close proximity.

See if the FX input indicator is functioning.

If the electronics of the DSP/FX is dead, troubleshooting it is not a DIY unless you have special test equipment. The unit uses two 57002 DSP's controlled by an 80C32 micorprocessor. Beyond checking that the 80C32 is operating and busses have activity, you probably won't be able to do any fruitfull troubleshooting

If NO lights come on in this unit, then the power supply has fried and you don't want that as it is likely caused by the rear power amp arcing out.. Lots of work to repair. Since rest is working this is not the case with yours. ALWAYS be careful to insure speaker leads are solid with this amp as an intermitent lead can blow this amp easily.

No display light on my casio ctk 496 every thing else works

Sorry, but many of the low end keyboards do NOT have backlights. This is especially true of those that have the capability of running off batteries like the CTK-496.

The display in this is a reflectance type that needs ambient lighting to view.
