If you manually reset by pressing overtemp thermostat, then check your operating thermostat.. maybe over heating.. if so replace thermostat.. if pilot cuts out completely prematurely without reaching set temp then replace overtemp cut out thermostat as it is faulty.

A/T oil temp indicator light came on while driving? Would drive ok but, starting after stopping, the care acted as if I was not getting enough gas or engery?

The transmission is slipping. Problem could be as simple as the transmission being low on fluid. Check this first. If that's not the problem, it should be taken to a shop for service.

The cooling fan is probably not working. Unit will overheat. Check the fan to see if it run continuously with no scraping noise with the UPS turned "ON". If the fan does not run, open the case and replace the fan.

That's a fuser overtemp fault, meaning your fuser either has a peice of paper jammed up in the fuser or the thermistor is blown (it acts like a fuse during an overtemp indication). You'll prpbably need to replace the fuser unit if it's not a simple jam.

Mdg5500aww no heat / flame.

Yes, that open switch is the high limit thermostat. this will shutdown the unit and prevent it from heating. you must replace the open switch(thermostat) asap and, replace the thermal fuse as well.

My au Falcon teperature light comes on about a minute after the engine is started, the temperature gauge shows low temperature, the radiator is not boiling, I have taken the temperature sender unit out of...

The low water level sensor is in the overflow bottle, not the overtemp sensor.

The overtemp sensor will be on the motor somewhere.

To check you have the right sensor- short the sensor to ground and observe the overtemp light operation.

You likely have a faulty over temperature switch sensor.

Dryer will not fire

You have a thermal overtemp sensor that has failed, they are located in maybe two spots, but the diagram on the dryer should show you where they are.

Most can be jumped over with a jumper wire, some are resistive devices that send back a signal based on changing temp and resistance, but most can simply be jumper across from one side to the other, and if stays on, there is your problem, for a gas valve to fire, and then go off, it is either a thermocouple device with pilot, or one of those overtemp devices I mentioned. If the valve was bad it would not light at all, so it is one of those devices not the timer, not the board, not the anything it is an overtemp or thermocouple device.

Mico only heats 4 to 6 minutes

many microwaves require x amount of clearance for exhaust heat, is it installed with the proper clearances?

it is one, not venting and tripping the overtemp,

two, the overtemp module is bad, or the board receiving the signal is bad
