7 light error refers to paddle or speed
potentiometer problem, if you feel confident taking the covers off then check that all the connections are nice and firm, also on other scooters if the paddle is not located in the neutral position when you turn the scooter on the control box will detect this and "lock out" the scooter, you can fix this using trial and error but it can be very fiddly! (yes iv had to do this before!) if all the connections seem quite solid and on the control box this would possibly suggest that either the potentiometer has failed and will need replacing (which would mean reconfiguring the paddle when its in) or there is a fault in the control box, if you dont feel comftable/cant fix this problem then obviously i would reccomend taking it to an authorised repair shop, i hope this helps you if i can be of any furthur assistance then my email is rick @ (remove the spaces!)

I have a Golden GC321 When the battery charger is on there is a green light and next to it is a red light Does the red light ever go off when charging.

the gc 321 has a diagonistic sender built in, go to golden
and down load the owners manuel for it, its free and very helpful, when you 1st turn on the key , you count the times the red lite blinks an it will diagnose your problem, then you look it up in the manuel!
also go to and type in make and model, a set of keys is about $10

Golden companion II full charge turn key on press lever to go forward it dont move hear clicking sound green light on dash blinks

John count the number of flashes by the green light and it will be the fault code indicating the problem Your owners manual should list the fault codes to be able to determine what the problem is. Ie 4 blinks pause 4 blinks pause. The clicking you hear is the electric brakes being engaged. Hope this helps

I'm not to shure the dimensions of your two batteries but this is what i would do. (i go to high school so i have a bunch of time on my hands) Try some car audio batteries like these.

you are probably going to have to copy and past the links. if these can rune a car stereo all day then they should run your scooter for way more than 3 hours.

I haVe two golden companion scooters that worked Perfectly. One day they just quit running. I know that when the light blinks a certain number of times in the manual it tells you what's wrong. Both of mine...

Hi. 5 flashes on some scooters is the fault code for brake coil open circuit. This usually means that the free-wheel lever is in the wrong position.
Someone might have moved the levers so that they could push the scooters, and forgot to put the levers back to the correct position.
This fault code can also mean that the solenoid coil is faulty, but 9 times out of 10, it is the lever in the wrong position.
Good luck. Neil.
