Make sure that everything is still plugged in good on the motherboard, like the video card. Could be you just knocked something loose. Also, did you wear a wrist strap to prevent static or at least ground yourself out? If not, you could have shorted out the board. Also, do you hear all of the fans running on the computer? Another thing, sometimes canned air is kind of damp for just a few seconds. I am assuming that you unplugged your computer before you used the canned air on it?

If you are sure that everything is plugged in good, all of your cables inside the computer and the monitor cable...are you not hearing any kind of beep codes when you boot it? I hate to say this, but it sounds like the motherboard went out. Now when I say "motherboard," there is a possibility that it is "only" the processor on the motherboard. It is simpler and often just as cheap to replace the whole motherboard and processor rather than trying to replace only the processor and finding out later that the motherboard also has a problem. If you aren't comfortable with doing that yourself, it might be a good time to take it in to a technician. Most places will charge you an arm and a leg to fix that problem. A good technician should be able to back up your data from your hard drive. It doesn't sound like anything is wrong with your hard drive.

The computer was in use when the display cut out. The monitor is fine and the computer turns on but has no display on the monitor

I presume that you tried the monitor on another system to verify function. Try restart after 2 min power down and disconnect and try again, then take another "known good" monitor and try that. If both monitors give no image, video output is suspect. Many motherboards have the video output as part of the board itself, cost prohibitive to replace motherboard.
Sometimes you can plug in a PCI video card and bypass system video.

Adding a video card and get no output

Look in the motherboards manual for info about installing graphics cards, see if it needs jumpers. Plus make sure you plugged the monitors vga or dvi on the right place (VGA or DVI port ON the graphics card, NOT on the old vga port you used to plug your monitor before )

See if it works otherwise tell me..

I have asus p5p800-mx mother board morboard working fine and also start but on monitor no display and i also try to install additional graphics card then also no display

Have you tested the monitor to see if it is working? Is the vga cable good? Are you getting the BIOS start-up display screens when computer is booting up or no display at all? It is odd that both the on board video and video card would be bad I would double check the cable connection and the monitor. If the cable is good and the monitor is working properly than the board might be bad. You should at least get the BIOS start-up screen display.

No signal to monitor when booting.

(1) Remove memory from mother board and start the system if you happen to listen long beep then RAM is not working properly.
(2) Clean RAM conducting area on mother board with clean cotton cloth, put one peice of RAM and test and check the othe peice also, if working you could any sign display . Before doing all these check mother board any LED is glowing if so your SMPS is working after you turn on UPS.

(3) Check for all proper connection for all cables. Have you connected video cable of monitor to mother board VGA (it will not work because it is disabled as soon as you installed XFX GeForce 8800 GT), your viedo output only will come through XFX GeForce 8800 GT VGA port.

(4) If propelm persits Deassmble complete the system and reassmble & do n't connect HDD, DVD, floppy. Cehck with bare mother baord, processor, RAM (put one picese at a time) by connecting viedo cable of monitor
