I don't think the driver has ever been fully installed. I don't see it in my programs. It never gets to the end to say it was installed, and has never asked for a port.

Completly uninstall the driver.
Unhook the usb cable from the printer.
Re-install software and wait till it asks for a port and then plug in the USB cable,.

Hello my name is Amy and i recently had to do a complete system recover to my pc, Well when i went to reinstall my Kodak ESP.3 All-in-One Printer it loads the bojour and when it starts to install the Kodak...

Before you try re-installing it again, restart your computer. Sometimes installed programs require restart even if they don't force it on the user.
After restart try installing the software again, if it fails with the same error then your installer may be corrupt or not suitable for your OS. Go to the Kodak website and download the latest software and drivers for your printer. Here is the link. You will have to click on the right side on Downloads to select your OS and then search for ESP 5 will show up the results.
If you get the same error, check to see if you have the latest Service Pack installed (do a System Update for MAC). Update your computer and try again. By this time you have everything up to date and if it still won't work I'd say that there must be something corrupt into your OS.

What should i do?

Press CTRL ALT & DELat the same time. It opens Task Manager. > Choose Processes
It might show that you got many Chromes running simultaneously. Click the one CHROME that is running (it usually has to do with something of a Flash program) on highest in CPU usage, then >> END PROGRESS. If that happens to close your Chrome there's no harm done as you can just re-install them by clicking it again. BUT normally it kills SHOCK WAVE FLASH thats has ridiculed people for almost ten years...
Well, it kills your Flash loads but revises your computer speed. You can simply just put these other windows' reloading after the procedure.

You can "try" to stop the process from starting by unchecking the appropriate box under boot menu.

go to RUN, type MSCONFIG, check the startup tab.

Hope this helps.

Firefox is already running but not responding.

If you open the task manager and click the Processes tab, does Firefox.exe show up anywhere on the list? If it does, then you can select it, and end its process.

If not, then you may have other software issues that are interfering that are not directly related to Firefox.

When I try to install an update for cs3 design the message reads shutdown photo elements filemanger.exe. The photo elments is not running at the time and the update fails. I am running windows xp

The process may be running in the background. To disable it, press Control+Shift+Escape. This will open the Task Manager. Switch to the "Processes" tab. There should be a process named "filemanager.exe". You need to click this, then say "End Process". Ignore the warning that appears, and press "Yes". Then try to install the update again. If that does not work, try restarting the computer, and then trying to update.
