Green Screen Happens when I Scan

I am trying to get my parents' Scanmaker 4900 working. Any time I try to scan a color image, a lime-green screen appears. I've tried toggling some settings, but an image will not come up.

Windows 7 won't read the microtek scanmaker 4900

In case you haven't noticed, there aren't any drivers for your scanner for Windows7 from Microtek. So you have to wait till Microtek anounce new drivers, or try the WinXP version with your own risk.

In case of a problem, don't hesitate to post.

Lines across scan

It appears to be a freak problem. The best way is to bring it to original condition. Try uninstalling the scanner, run Scandisk on the Comp, Switch off and reinstall the driver. this may work.

I have a microtek scanmaker 4900 mpdel. I was scanning a page from a book and cancelled the scan. Now, every time I try and scan something the message "no scan jobs checked!" appears and I...

Try this:

  1. In your ScanWizard Advanced Control Panel, click View
  2. Click Scan Job Window / Scan Job Queue
  3. When the window pops up:
    • If any boxes are checked in the Scan Job Window / Queue, uncheck them, and recheck them.
    • If no boxes are checked in the Scan Job Window / Queue, check them.
  4. Close the Scan Job Window / Queue.
You should be able to scan again without any issues.
