He may have reconnected the DVD player to a different connection on the back of TV. If so, you'll need to change the INPUT source using your tv remote control. On the TV remote, there should be a button that says something like INPUT or SOURCE. This button will let the TV display the signal coming through the different jacks on the back of the tv.

I get sound and picture playing a dvd but a black screen on all channels.

Maybe you need to check your settings, If your DVD player is connected to the TV by a HDMI cable you may need to check the TV connections to a sound system by AV cords then you may need to change the setting to DVTV or AVTV or HDMI in a different area. You will know what I means when you go into your settings. It is not hard and I know your problem as my son had the same problem. He has to go from DVD player or HDMI after a movie to DVTV or DTV iy will be clear when you sort out the connections. Then after a movie you change the DVD connection settings to the TV connections and your black screen will disappear. Hope this helps.

How do i get my sons dvd player in color. it plays every movie in black and white

Make sure the connection to the TV is correct. Yellow(video) jack from the DVD player will go to yellow jack of the TV, white to white(audioL) and red to red(audioR) for compsite audio/video connection. Red to red, green to green and blue to blue for component connection.

We have PIoneer Elite Plasma TV and the DVD player is also PIoneer Elite# DVC 36.we are getting stretch picture.cut on top and bottom. How do set your DVD so that the pic. fills the screen. this is dvd...

The movie was most likely recorded for the PAL system.

On your TV set, you can try setting the aspect ratio. You will have to consult your user manual about how to change the aspect ratio settings. Remember what you did so you can go back.

If the movie was produced with a non standard aspect ratio for your set, there is not much you can do with this...

DVD movies do not play

A blue screen means the TV is not receiving a video signal. Check all connections, then try another player, cable, etc. Also, check DVD and TV AV settings.
