There are more than 2 fuses in the unit, one is power supply, the others are rail voltage for the amplifier. All must be exact in rating for proper protection from fire and overload. The voice coil coild melt or short, offering partial fuctoinality, but presenting an overload to the amp. Usually this is accompanied by somewhat distorted sound. If you have another one, and are on a budget... swap the amplifiers in the 2 units and see if the problem goes with the amp, or stays with the speaker. Then you will have your answer as to which half of the thing is causing problems. Speaker you can prolly chasnge yourself, the amp will need professional service.

does your swa1501 get hot just being switched on ?
sounds like your output transistors breaking down or your dc to dc rectifier is shorting this would dumping high voltage to the speaker. I guess your speaker coil is burnt . check Q4,Q5,Q7,Q12.Q14,Q15,Q17 and Q18 these are all mosfet transistors that commonly break down..

Need a circuit board diagram for the SWA1501

not difficult...2 screws on the top and 2 screws on the bottom of the box will remove the amp section. Did you change any components that rectified the fuse blowing problem ? ie. like Q17 - 2SC5200 0r Q14 - 2SA1943 are the main output drivers..

SWA1501 Sub blows fuses when turned on...

Shorted amp or blown speaker. Other things could also cause it. But there is a short circuit in it.
