Question about Belkin Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

Will my Belkin ITE Power supply Model No.AC08 ET19941 LPS be safe/effective for charging my iPod Classic? This is an AC wall charger with USB connector presumably ok for the iPOD or other USB powered devices. Charger Specs: Input - 120-240v, 0.1A, 50-60 Hz; Output - 12vDC, 400mA, 3.6W (Max). I can't locate any info on this old adapter on Belkin.com. Thanks!

Yes as long as the wattage voltage etc... align between the device and the max output of the adapter you should be just fine in this particular case. I have the same adapter and I can not even remember what it initially came with but it has been so handy that I will keep it as long as it lasts. ;)

Plug the charger into a USB port or wall charger. Then plug the other end into your i pod. Once plugged in and successfully connected to power then a green battery symbol should appear. If not then their might be something wrong with the power supply or the i pod.

What could be the problem if my iPod Classic won't charge?

Be sure to connect the charging/sync cable directly to the computer, not a USB hub. Most hubs are don't provide enough power to the usb ports to charge the ipod. If you need a method of charging the ipod while away from the computer connect your sync cable to a device like these: Even the USB port on Apple keyboards is not able to charge the Ipod.

If you're using the computer to charge the Ipod, be sure it stays on, when computers go into sleep or standby modes they stop charging your ipod. You may want to use one of the options below to charge your Ipod when the computer is off or in a different location than the Ipod.

Ipod classic 20GB not getting on.

This is sometimes the case with old ipods. Hold down the power and center button together for 10 seconds. If still it does not boot up the charge it using a wall charger (not USB from computer) and do it again. It will be solved 100%

I have ipod nano 1st gen and my ipod wont detect by itunes even my explorer using USB 2.0, i have firewire port wall charger when i try to plug it it charge but idont know if it will work to computer cause...

There might be a few issues here:

1. Your ipod software needs to be updated
2. Your usb cord is bad
3. Your usb port is not working properly

Either find someone that has a firewire port and update it via itunes, or use someone elses computer to update your ipod's software.

Ipod ''dead''

Plug your iPod into a wall charger, let it lie for a couple of hours. When these batteries become completely flat, it won't easily charge through computer usb, so try the wall charger, see if it works.

Charging the mp3mp4 player

  1. Get a USB wall charger. These are AC adapters that plug directly into the outlet. You then plug the USB from your MP3 into the port on the adapter.
  2. Charge your MP3 player on the go. There are also charging kits that plug into the cigarette lighter or power plug in your car. These kits come with a DC power adapter that has a port on the end for you to plug in your MP3.
  3. Acquire Apple iPod specific chargers. When you need to charge your iPod music player through an outlet, look for the Universal USB car charger or the Universal USB travel charger made specifically for Apple products.
Make sure that you have your player on a power strip or surge protector so that if you get a surge you wont fry your player.

Battery is totally flat and won't charge

The USB cable was having issues with our computer. We could download the music but it would not charge. Had to buy a USB accessible charger that plugged into the wall. I suggest the Sony AC power adapter. It's a USB power supply for Sony and iPod.

My Ipod Nano Wont Charge on the wall Charger.

Hello Kawase,

I would suggest you try charging the unit this one time by connecting it to the computer. I suspect that the charger may be defective if plugging the wall charger into the iPod has no effect on the low battery warning. If the iPod is able to be charged from the USB port on your computer that would tend to confirm that the charger is not working. If the iPod does not charge when connected to either the computer or the wall charger then you may very well have a another defective iPod.

Best Regards
Ken
