Hi, When I connect my 8320 to my computer the device manager keeps rolling up and down as if refreshing. When I check the USB ports I can see the Blackberry but when the screen 'refreshes' it is gone and then with the next refresh it is there again, this continues the entire time the blackberry is plugged in. Is there a way to correct this?

If the device manager keep rolling ups and down maybe your own 8320 are recognizing some hardware in your phone, maybe you know that there is an CD or installer of that, so use it... and read the manuals...

I believe there must be something to do with the driver somewhere..If I was you I would back up the phone and and remove the phone from the o/s and restart it and re-install the whole thing from scratch and you might be lucky there.I would also advise to test this phone on another pc in case you waste too much time and found it is doing the same thing on a different machine.

If you mean you want to re-install the o/s then go got it but make sure you know what you are doing especially with window product key and etc..Before you do that try to use a registry repairer, something like registry mechanic..That could help..

Jvm errore 517 in bb 8320 how can i solve

Hi,

To correct this, follow the steps outlined below from RIM:

1. If not already installed, download BlackBerry Device Software and BlackBerry Desktop Manager from the wireless service provider web site.

2. Install BlackBerry Desktop Manager and then install the BlackBerry Device Software.

3. Use Application Loader to reload the software on the BlackBerry device.

But, if it is on warranty, it is better you go for a replacement.

Good luck

Hi, why it's not charging yet ,i think its not yet recognizing the mp3 player yet. You will need to follow the below step and solve the problem.,Then after trying out this steps and still does not work,That means you will need to replace the USB cable...

Hi, when an m3player does not detect on your PC, usually when Drivers that corrupted..
How to rectify the problem:

Connect the mp3 player to the PC
The screen on your player should turn on, show 'Connected' and indicate the battery charging or full.

- If the player does not turn on try other USB ports or on another computer if one is readily available. Ensure you are connecting directly to the computer USB port and not to a USB hub.

- If there is nothing showing on the screen and the player does show up in as a storage device in an explorer window, then the screen is just not working.

If you receive the error "USB Device Not Recognized" on the computer, the player is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely to correct the problem.

Check under Device Manager

1. Right-click My Computer, and select Manage.

2. Click Device Manager on the left pane.

NOTE: MP3 Players can connect to your computer in MSC or MTP mode. Exceptions are mp3 player Connect and mp3 player Express which only use MTP mode. MTP mode is the recommended and default method for mp3 Players when used with Windows OS.

The mp3 player will show up on Device Manager's right pane as:
1. USB Mass Storage device (if the player is set to MSC)
2. Portable Device (if the player is set to MTP mode)

If there is a yellow exclamation point (!) or question mark (?) beside the device, try to refresh the drivers.

Refresh the drivers

1. Right-click the entry with the error mark, select Uninstall.

2. On the top menu, click Action then select Scan for hardware changes.

NOTE: If a device with yellow exclamation point (!) continually appears and disappears, then the player is most likely failed. Additional troubleshooting is unlikely to correct the problem.

Good luck......

Hi i have just got my blackberry 8110 curve back from carphone warehouse, who told me my phone was beyond economical repair, due to some of he keys not working. my phone phone was still under warranty but...

First, download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager software from: https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads/contactFormPreload.do?code=A8BAA56554F96369AB93E4F3BB068C22&dl=DA5FB46338C8C0DCB1039F7898184FC5

Once installed, connect your BlackBerry to your computer via the USB sync cable. Open Desktop Manager, and click the Application Loader. On the right, you will see Update your device software. Click the Start Button, and if your BlackBerry is not on the latest Handheld Software, an update will appear. Select the update, and run the install. Be sure to select the option that backs up and restores your data. Once started, do not shut down your computer, or disconnect the USB sync cable as this could damage the device.

Once completed, your BlackBerry will restart and you will have the latest version available. This version has been known to correct various issues.
