How to re-close the back plate on a Dakota time/date warch?

Some of these watches have a notch where the stem goes. If you don't have the back in place it will not snap back into place. Also some are a slight screw back and will snap off, but when putting them back you must kind of screw it back in place. Good luck.

How do I change the battery/ies for the watch? The red light still functions, but the timepiece does not.

I took a clip watch to the Mall today and had the battery replaced at the Dakota Kiosk. It cost $10. They used a tiny knife to pry off the back. I was trying to use a screwdriver and that didn't work.

Hello i changed the battery on my dakota angler II and the only thing that works is the red light, no time analog and or digita, none of the buttons do anything except the red one for the light.

Did you change the battery yourself? Did you have instructions? The reason I ask is only because some watches/etc have more the one battery for various functions. Sometimes there are more batteries underneatch the battery you replaced.
I would call the manufacturer and ask them if you have the number.

How do you adjust the length of a wrist watch band ?

This particular model has cotter pins. Locate the head of the cotter pin by looking at the side of the band. On one side the pins will look split like screws. On the other side they will be solid. The side that is split is the side that needs to come out first so you want to use a thin punch and press out from the solid side. make sure you replace the pins the same way they came out.
Many Times watches also have a micro adjustment on the clasp.

I purchased a Nat. Geo. Dakota watch in past fall..It was impossible to set. Paid a watch shop to set it....now it won't change to daylight savings time...nor will it change time zones when I travel....

When changing time zones, your watch must be manually set for the new time zone you will be entering. This watch is not designed to adjust for new time zones automatically. Instructions for changing time zones can be changed using the directions found on pages 2-4 in your instruction manual. When changing to and from DST, your watch should automatically adjust for this difference with the next 24 hours after the change. If your watch has not adjusted, you may be in an area that is not receiving signal. Check if your watch has received signal by using the directions found on page 1 of your instruction manual. If your watch has received signal in the past and no longer is receiving signal, your watch may need to be serviced or exchanged. Please contact Dakota Watch Company Customer Service by email at customerservice@dakotawatch.com, or by phone at 1-888-459-0404.

Watch battery number for dakota watch

This watch requires a size 1620 battery, available at all Dakota Watch Company store locations, and most electronics stores. Dakota Watch Company always recommends taking your watch to one of our store locations or a reputable jeweler to reduce the risk of damaging your watch during a battery change.

We are sorry to read of your trouble with receiving technical support. We will be happy to answer any questions regarding your Dakota watch. Please feel free to contact our Customer Service by email at customerservice@dakotawatch.com, or by phone at 1-888-459-0404. Thank you!
