Question about Yamaha HTR-5440 Receiver
Last evening I noticed the left fronts (A+B) were not playing when I had the TV mode on. I initially moved the speaker to the other side and it worked fine. Placed it back in its original location and no sound. I played my IPOD through the AUX mode and both lefts sounded great. I did the same with the CD, Tuner and the DVD and the left fronts worked perfectly. I'll be pulling the entertainment center (huge) away from the wall this evening - other than ensuring my audio cable (TV-AVR) is not half pulled out. Is there anything else that I can check?
Just check the rca cables. Try wiggling the cables as well. If they are the plastic rca cables, they do to wear out quick.
If it is not the cables, than it is a shorted resistor in the channel sound output
