Did you carefully inspect all through the paper path for some fuzz, or a small piece of paper smearing the print?
The other issue would be the fuser. Do you see any reprinting of images or letters in that area?
What you can do is set the machine to print 2 or more pages and open a cover or turn off the power to jam the prints in the machine. See if the line is on the drum or not. If not then you have a fuser roller issue which would require replacing the fuser.

I was getting a verticle black line and I had to clean the glass, the long white bar above the glass, and the white and black rollers before my problem was solved.

Hi there,
I believe there are 3 possible causes for this issue; toner drum, fuser or transfer roller - more than likely I would dismantle the printer and check for lines on the fuser. But just in case remove the toner and carefully release the flap to reveal the toner drum - if that is scored and the lines correspond to those on the print-out thats the cause.
