What is fork oil capacity

This is the answer by LostReader that I've found in Google:

I'm fairly certain the stock is 7.5 weight oil.

If starting fresh you'll need almost a quart for each fork, the correct amount isn't determined by volume, it's determined by measurement.

60 mm from the top, spacer installed, fork fully compressed. Or was that with spring installed....? maybe someone can confirm....

you need one of these to correctly measure fork oil.

On ebay you can get a service manual for cheap from a Canadian seller who ships worldwide.

Hi Vicente,

Lots of things to consider, but keep in mind that this will be expensive, every gram you shave off will add a dollar or more...

  1. Your best investment would be in a lighter wheelset, because here not only pure weight but also rotational weight counts against you. You can go for lighter rims, as well as tyres, but don't skimp to much on tyres that is too thin, otherwise you could get sidewall cuts.
  2. Next, consider your seatpost, stem and handle bars, you might consider carbon components for these.
  3. Front fork/shock can add al lot of weight, look for a air shock.
  4. Lastly, pedals and crankset, probably your heaviest components, look for hollow tech or carbon cranks, lighter pedals.
Look for options and compare prices on sites like these:
Components Chain Reaction Cycles

This air fork has kashima coating and a thru axle, the best option.
This XTR crank has hollow tech hollow crank arms to save weight:

For even more weight savings, consider a carbon crank, like this with only one chainring in front, this limits your gears, but you save the weight of the other chainrings as well as the front selector and cabling.

So there you have some things to consider, but the ultimate would be a carbon fame as well!

I have a 08 Hyosung gt250r, i wanna know if i could lower it?

yes you can,but it needs to be done by a professional for your size and weight if you drop the front or rear it changes the way it handles and not for the good, you need to change the internals in the forks, and then for the back shock needs to be altered inside as well as the mountings.if it is too hi to put your feet on the ground it might help by lowering the foam in the seat could be a lot cheaper cheers hope this helps

Carbon build up in a 08 pt cruiser with 50000 miles

they make a product called lucas fuel injection cleaner that is poured into the gas tank to clean the valves, and help to remove carbon from the cylinders, it works very well, you can purchase this at auto part stores.
