Go to your computer icon, right click, go to properties, click on hardware, then go to the device manager.go to sounds and video.... go to the media controller, right click and get rid of this, do not click on the legacy or codecs files, just the media control device, right click, again, and gelet the dirver. Reboot the machine and it should come back asking you for the controller software, it might call for your video card disc or system disk...use it.
If this does not solve it go to www.driversguide.com and look for your controller there ... this works also

No Audio Output Device Installed

If you have visited the Toshiba website and downloaded and installed the latest drivers from there, then I would suggest that the on board Audio controller is defective and should be replaced. Check your guarantee and see if it can be returned to dealer/maker for repair.

No audio output devise is installed.

You need to find the audio driver software, for your computer. try searching the official site of the computers manufacturer (with google.com), then enter the official site, click support, then find your pc model. Then download the Audio Driver, install it, restart the system and it's solved.
If you can't do it yourself, ask a PC Service Shop, it's a process that takes a half-hour. Dont Worry!!

Good Luck!!

Some users have been experiencing problems with a "No Audio Output Device Installed" error when trying to play music, or when hovering the mouse over the speaker icon in the system tray. You may get a white X in a red circle to indicate this error.

Go to the device manager by pressing WINDOWS KEY + R to go to the run menu, and then run "devmgmt.msc".
