cant open certain web pages
When browsing the web, there are some instances where you encounter pages that cannot be loaded.
There are several reasons why, ranging from an error on the website itself to the settings on your own computer.
Page Cannot be Found A "Page cannot be found error" may occur when certain Web pages are no longer online.
This can be due to the deletion of the page, or if the page was relocated to a different section without having its links updated.

To remedy the issue, change your firewall settings to allow access to these pages.

You can contact your internet service provider to resolve this issue.
Clean Up Cookies on a Computer
Clearing your computer's cookies in Microsoft Internet Explorer is easy.
Clearing your permanently filed cookies will make your computer run a little bit faster, and eliminate the link between you and the websites you frequent.
Cookies are small files that websites store on your computer to remember your account information, login, password and who you are.
If you want to eliminate another party tracking your preferences, read on to learn how to clean up cookies on a computer.

Turn on your computer and allow it to boot up.

It doesn't matter what web page first loads.
Locate the "Tools" tab or icon on the top right hand corner of your screen.
Click on the tab or icon, so a drop-down menu appears.
Browse the list and find "Internet Options."
Use your mouse to left click on "Internet Options."

Notice a new box open on your screen.
The bar across the top of this new box should say "Internet Options."
Below this bar will be several tabs.
Use your mouse to left click on the "General" tab.
Scan the box and locate the section titled "Browsing History."
Read the description under browsing history to be sure it includes the option to delete temporary files, browsing history, cookies, saved passwords and web form information.
Under the description, you will see two boxes, "Delete" and "Settings."
Click on the "Delete" button.
A new bow will appear on your screen.
The bar across the top of the box will be labeled "Delete Browsing History."
Notice the options in this box include the ability to delete temporary Internet files, cookies, history, form data and passwords.
Select the button that says "Delete Cookies" if you wish to only delete the cookies data files.
If you would like to get rid of the history list of websites you have visited, all your logins, passwords and form data, select the "Delete All" button at the bottom of the box.
Selecting either "Delete Cookies" or "Delete All" will make another box appear on your screen. You will see a confirmation message asking if you're sure you'd like to complete this action. Select "Yes" or "No."
Selecting "Yes" will allow your computer to delete the cookies.

How do i extend my history in chrome

Is your computer slow or are you trying to find out what websites your child has been surfing? Maybe you can't remember that website that you found late last night. Maintain your Internet history so you can locate sites, or remove sites after a set period of time.

Open a new Web browser. Create Menu tab right click in the top of screen (toolbar) you will see a number of toolbar options select the menu bar This will add to your screen toolbar File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help Click on "Tools" in the toolbar. Select "Internet Options." On the tab marked "General," locate the section for "History." Pick an amount of days to keep your history in the drop-down menu. Click "Apply" and then "OK" to save your changes and close the window.

I need to deleat my face book from my mobile not my computer

Open Internet Explorer.

Click "Tools," then select "Internet Options."

Click the "Delete" button under "Browsing History."

This deletes Facebook from your browsing history, so no one can view your history and tell that you've been on the site.

Open the "Security" tab, then click the "Restricted sites" icon.

Click the "Sites" button, then enter "" into the box and click the "Add" button.

This adds Facebook to the list of blacklisted sites in Internet Explorer, which means you'll no longer be able to visit the site.

Click the "Close" button, then click "OK" to save your settings.

You've successfully removed Facebook from your computer.

Google Chrome

Open Google Chrome.

Click the wrench icon near the top-right corner of the screen, then click "Options."

Open the "Under the Hood" tab, then click the "Clear browsing data..." button to erase evidence of the Facebook website on your PC.

Click the "Content settings..." button, then click the "Manage exceptions..." button.

Enter "" into the "Pattern" box, then click the drop-down "Behavior" box and select "Block." Click the "x" at the top of the Chrome tab to close the "Options" tab.

Mozilla Firefox

Open Mozilla Firefox.

Click "Tools," then click "Clear your recent history."

Open the drop-down box, select "Everything" and click "Clear Now."

This removes any history you have of browsing the Facebook site on your PC while using Firefox.

Unfortunately, Firefox does not have the built-in capability to block websites from being displayed or data from being transmitted to and from those websites.

There are third-party add-ons (click "Add-ons" under "Options") that will block websites, or you can do it through the HOSTS file in Windows.

Hope this helps.

Is there a user guide for the viper 7641 remote starter

First of all, thank you very much Rob for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs.

Here is a direct link to the ONLINE USER'S MANUAL for that model:

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and blue highlighted section of text just above.

This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents, although many computers already have this type of utility pre-installed.

You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary. Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

I truly hope that was helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

When I try to get into a certain financial website to check our investments, we are shut down with the following message appearing on the screen. "Internet Explorer has closed this website to help protect...

Try using a different (non-virus-infected) computer.

Be sure that you're accessing the "official" web-site, not a "phishing" (and "unauthorized") copy of the financial web-site.

Upgrade to Internet Explorer 7 or 8.
Start IE, and click 'Tools' and 'Manage Add-Ons',
and disable unneeded toolbars. Close IE, and re-open it.
Now, try to access that web-site.

When I open Internet explorer or any web sites on IE they appear

The default behavior for IE is to open at the same size it was at the last time it was closed.
While the default does apply in many cases it's not always consistent.

Try the following workaround.
Open a single IE window to the smaller size.
Drag the corners of the window until it completely fills the screen.
Do not use the maximize button to enlarge the window.
Hold down the Ctrl key, keep it depressed,
and using the mouse click File and then Exit on the menu bar.
Do not use the "X" in the upper right corner to close the window.
Internet Explorer should now open in a full window.
If it still opens to a smaller size repeat the above instructions, substituting the "Shift" key for the "Ctrl" key.

Enable cookies

Follow these simple steps to enable “Cookies” in Internet Explorer 7 for all web sites.

Open your browser, and select Internet Options from the Tools menu at the top.

Now on the option screen select the Privacy tab.

Make sure the slider is not set to “Block All Cookies”.

The best setting is to set the option to “Medium,” then click Apply and then ok to save the changes.

If you are still having problems getting Internet Explorer 7 to remember your login information, you may need to add your favorite web sites to your list of sites that can use cookies.

To set it for just certain web sites do the following

Open your browser, select Internet Options, from the Tools menu at the top.

From the option screen Click the Privacy tab.

Click on the Sites” button for web sites.

Enter “the web site address that you wish to provide permissions to into the “Address of website:” field.

Next click on the “Allow” button.

Click on the OK to close the “Per Site Privacy Options” window.

Next click on the “Advanced” button.

If “Override automatic cookie handling” is checked, make sure “Accept” is selected for both “First-party cookies” and “Third-party cookies”.

Now click on the OK to close the “Advanced Privacy Options” window.

Finally click on the OK to close the “Internet Options” window.

Now Internet Explorer 7 will remember the permissions set for your favorite websites and accept cookies!

For other browsers you can find here

Good Luck.

Live, Love, Laugh.
