Problem for Acer Computer Aspire 6530-5143 16" Notebook PC
Acer Aspire 6530 Sound Distortion
Sound is very distorted when watching dvds, listening to radio stations online even when turning computer on, the start up tone is distorted. The problem is not as bad when plugged into the mains, but gets worse when running on the battery, and is also bad when moving the cursor across the screen while watching dvds,cds and listening to things online.

- Thanks for your suggestion. While looking for software to download I came across Driver Detective, did a scan and found I have 9 errors 2 of them are to do with the sound system, also did a scan with Reg Cure that found 1054 problems. The computer is still under warranty so think I will give it to the shop to fix.Solution #1

Same problem - sound distorted and slow upon startup as well as during any video or audio, whatever the source (flash - quicktime, etc) Save your files and use the eRecovery tool to reset to factory specs.
[Start - Programs - Acer Empowering Technology - Acer eRecovery Management]
Remember - you will loose all files, so backup whatever you want to save. You will also loose all programs you installed, wireless settings, etc - so save passwords and network keys, etc to a flash drive
