Question about HP L1702 17" LCD Monitor
After it has been on for about an hour the screen suddenly gets very bright then goes off. Switching the power off and back on fixes it for a while. The ventilation slots are clear and tapping the boards inside has no effect.
Make sure that the power settings are set to never turn monitor off. On Win Xp, you go to control panel, power options, then check your settings to see if it is set to turn off after an hour or so, if it is then click on the down arrow and choose "NEVER".
