Question about Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 Motherboard

Where to find manuals & Drivers

I was "GIFTED" a case with a GA-7N400 Pro 2 motherboard. It doesn't have hard drives, memory, or operating system.

Where can I find the manuals for the motherboard?

    Thanks for the to find out if I can follow the instructions and find the extra needed parts to make it work!

    hi all please can you tell me were i can find the manuals for this board as it will find the harddrive the first in the bios and keep it there but willnot boot it i think that i am probly doing something rong when trying to format it with xp pro . and thats is wyh i need a manual because there is probly something on the board i have not done corectly

Yes, but please make sure you buy the PCI interface version, some of available USB 3.0 card in the market are mostly PCI-express interface. Just tell the store you will install it on the old PCI slot (white one). You also ask them if they have issue with the card that they recommending to you.

Looking at the specification of the motherboard, the maximum you are looking at is 512MB AGP card (Nvidia or the like), unfortunatley i cannot tell you exactly which one, as differnt cards are used for different things i.e. gaming, web creation etc etc

How many beeps do you hear and what are the durations? (short, long..) On the surface, make sure the memory speed and configuration match your motherboard.

You could do that. But I would check to see if you couldn't pick up two 1 GB RAM sticks instead. Memory has gotten cheaper & Windows XP is a memory hog that likes at least 1 GB of RAM.
