Question about Bose Lifestyle 28 System
Replaced the DVD? Did you replace the mechanism, or the entire media center? If you replaced the dvd mechanism, you might be out of luck getting firmware to support the rest of the hardware. If you mean that you replaced the media center, the firmware is available as part of a normal software update disc through Bose. To check sw and fw-> when the system is off, press and hold 'enter' on the media center and tap the 'store' button until you see "console sw" on the display. Same with fw.

If you replace with a similar unit, Toshiba M1502/M1612/M1702/M1802 or likewise you can flash it using a PC and floppy or CD boot to get the original bose formware back in there. Check out this forum for how to: http://homeavi.pro-forums.com/ good luck!
