Hi there ,

What you can try is to boot in SAFE-Mode, by pressing the F8 key on your keyboard more continiously when turning on your pc, If you are able to view the desktop in safe mode, then you must set your screen resolution lower, but if still no display, then your display adapter might be faulty, check your RAM, remove and re-insert them into the motherboard...try that......Let me know how it went

Need to install replacement monitor on laptop. Need to know how.

Look for the VGA output, there you'll connect the external CRT or LCD monitor signal cable (VGA input), at the funtions keys (F1 to F12) find the one that has a monitor or screen icon, it activates using the Fn and the found funcion key.
If you are replacing the LCD panel, the first step is to check if the screen frame has covered screws (commonly there are two), if it doesn´t have them, the frame is only set by inner clamps and can be separated with your nails and fingers carefully, after removing the screen frame you'll have access to LCD panel that is assembled usually in a metal frame, look for all the screws that hold panel, also carefully identify and disconnect all the cables that the panel uses. Look for the LCD panel model, but also you can buy it using the make and model of your laptop, to install it follow the reverse steps of above.

Screen stays black

Get a vga cable and connect it to the side of the laptop, or where you can see the vga connection then send signal to either a monitor/ tv (if they have a vga connection).

by doing this you will be able to find out if its the screen that is faulty or the graphics card.

if you cant see anything else on external screen then its either the graphics card or the laptop motherboard.

if you can view pic, then its the screen, then you can decide if its worth replacing?

My screen doesnt get a signal from the computer what could be wrong?

There could be three reasons for the same .
1. Loose signal cable: Check and reseat the VGA or DVI cable from the back of the system tower to the monitor.

2. Bad monitor : Disconnect the monitor cable from the back of the monitor check if the monitor displays anthing .

3. Bad video card : Try connecting an alternate monitor to check if the same is displaying anything on the screen.

Brand new Monitor blank screen says No Signal

There is nothing wrong with the monitor. The LCD is not recieving any signals from the PC. Either you are connecting the VGA cable incorrectly or your VGA card is not set from the PC BIOS. The VGA cable might also be faulty.
Recheck that all the connections are clean and secure. If you are using a PCI-E or AGP card, the computer BIOS should be set to send the video signals through the PCI-E or AGP card. Follow the procedure in your motherboard manual.
If your pc has on-board graphics then you should connect the VGA cable to the on-board VGA out connector.

Hook-up from d610 to tv

It is possible that your laptop drives EITHER its own display OR an extrnal monitor such as your TV. Look for a Screen Swap key on the laptop keyboard. It is usually a "Fn" key and requires you to hold down the "Fn" (Function) key whilst you tap the screen swap key. This key usually has a small picture of two screens seperated by a / . Hope this helps. Ian.

Dell 3100MP Projector - No Signal Check Cable

Make sure you have the right input source selected. It may be looking for a signal from some input other than the one you're connected to. Beyond that, if it truly isn't seeing the input then you'll need to have the projector serviced.
