Hi,

I dont know this amplifier, but if there's a tape-monitor button, you can insert the eq on the tape in- and output.

Kind regards,
Gerard

How do I connect my 901 equalizer /speakers to the yamaha rx-v633 receiver?

Sorry, it doesnt look like you can hook up an external EQ while still using the amplifier section of the yamaha. Instead, You would have to use the preamp out to go to 901 EQ, out of the EQ into another stereo amplifier, then to the 901 speakers. Personally, to power the 901's properly, I'd use another external amplifier. You will barley get 75watts per channel out of the receiver to power the 901's

Can i use a graphic equalizer with a yamaha as-500

My Yamaha Equalizer is Model GE-30. Review the manual for this unit and on page 3 you will see the connection procedure "Line Out" on the equalizer to "tape deck in" on the amplifier. In the case of the A-S500 user manuaI on page 5, I used the "line 3 " also identified as "tape deck" to connect the equalizer.
The front control(s) from page 2 on the A-S500 manual are then set :
Control(5) input selector set to Line 3 (Graphic Equalizer)
Control(8) REC OUT selector to CD (for CD), line1 (my blu-ray player, or tuner (my DVR/tv)
The only thing I lose is "PURE DIRECT" does not fuction if the equalizer is on, otherwise;
I simply set Control(5) input selector swith to the desired input source, the equalizer no longer
functions and "PURE DIRECT" can now be used.
The rest of the tonal controls for bass, treble, balance, and loudness work as they should.

I have a Yamaha RX-V992 receiver and I would like to install a Bose 901 active equalizer Where will I connect this to my receiver? Thanks, Mark

The use of 901's in any digital AV receiver setup for anything EXCEPT STEREO listening through the 901's alone requires you to have a separate amplifier for them and to avoid having to use a Tape Monitor.

That is because if you activate any Tape Monitor circuit at all, you will kill any digital sources. That is a function of AV receivers in general, nothing to do with 901's. Assuming you want the 901's as part of your multichannel sound, you need to get a dedciated power amp just for the 901's and you don't need to use a Tape Monitor loop.

You can draw the Front Left and Right signals out of the Main Out connectors, go into the Active EQ's Amplifier IN Connections; then Out of the EQ's Amplifier OUT Connection to a separate amp and attach the 901's to that amp. This way you won't introduce proprietary and potentially damaging Active Equalization back into anything in the AV Receiver with its conventional speakers.

Run through the speaker level settings with the new amp at a suitable volume setting (if it has a volume knob; many don't). Then leavethe amp volume control alone.

The AV Receiver can still drive the Center, Surrounds and the Sub(s) as it is designed and control the volume on everything.

This is roughly how I do it.

Hi...
Is the first set "stereo" settings and the 2nd set "surround" settings?
If so that may mean that the surround speakers arent all connected right.

Yamaha Dsp-A1000 5 ch amp Bought a used amp will be hooked to an awia reciever and speakers also have two subwoofers need help to install correctly witch connections to use

if you wanted to use your receiver as your controller and source then try to find out the receivber has got a bridge (jumper) between the pre-amp stage and the power amp stage. if your receiver does not have that, then you can just connect your receiver tape record out to one of your DSP inputs. subwoofers, the DSP has got a sub woofer out connector. you can use that (RCA type) to your sub woofers. put in series because DSP has got only one output for sub. or, you can connect your subs directly to the mains speakers, parallel connections. maybe one sub to your left and the other to your right channel.

No sound at all

The jumpers are there to connect the preamp section to the power amp section and are required for the receiver to opperate properly. Make sure the receiver is set to the proper input, in this case: CD. If there are A/B speaker connections, be sure the receiver is set to match the connectors you're using. If there is still no sound, profesional service will be required.
