If this a digital one then it goes till it fills up the digital memory. If I want to replay those messages I hold down the play button till it restarts from the beginning if the memory. If you already hit the delete button it goes back to the beginning and reuses the memory space. So if it deleted then it gone
but you try going to the manufacturer and retrieve the message (Only Option)

But from the Question that you posted it tells me the phone didn't had any power when the call came. So the message was not recorded at all at the first place. If i got you correct.

Thanks
K

The UPS needs to have a good DC Buss for it to work. Before you buy the new battery disconnect the battery & unplug it from the wall. Push the on button to reset the logic. You may see the display flash breifly. Install the new battery. Then plug in the UPS and turn it on and enjoy

The battery backup side is not working other side works

Its most likely caused by a dead, failed battery or a bad connection with the battery inside the unit.

Double check the connections inside the unit to ensure the battery is connected properly. If it is, take a volt meter and measure the strength of the battery. A 12v ups battery should read about 13 volts.

DEAD. MAYBE INTERNAL BATTERY IS DEAD? DONT THINK ITS THE WALL CHARGER...WUT CAN IT BE???

Wall charger's go bad. Measure it's output with a volt-meter, to make sure it's working. I killed one watching too many dvds on the computer and overworking it.

Need battery backup for xerox phaser 8560 mfd

A good rule of thumb is
Volts x Amps= Watts

For example, at 15amps at 110V, you will need 1650 watts

Or 7.5 amps at 220V, gives the same answer.

APC Back UPS 350 ES won't run on battery power.

>> I'm having the same problem with mine. I get 122 volts when plugged into the wall, and it tells me that I get less than 1 min of use once I unplug, and it actually lasts for 10 seconds before getting a screeching sound.

The screeching sound is normal. Its telling you "HEY, I HAVE NO POWER. THIS IS A PROBLEM." and trying to attract as much attention as possible. It will also do that if you run a self test with the software and the test fails.

Its been a while since I worked on these during an outage, but I believe there is a way to use the software (PowerChute business edition, if you're using a SmartUPS. There is a personal version with less features for other home models) to silence the alarm. I think some of them had a button you could push on the unit to silence it as well, but look this up first. Push the wrong one and it powers everything down.

If you have a volt meter check to see if there is a drain on the battery when the car is off, you can then pull each fuse to see which circuit is causing the draining. Sounds easy, but I have also seen cases where somone left change (a penny) in the cigarette lighter causing a short cirucit.

Not working

Some UPS have "Battery backup" and "Surge only" outlets. I don't know if it is the case for your model. The "Surge only" outlets are not connected to the battery and will go off during a power outage. Make sure that the equipement that need to keep running during the outage are connected to the "Battery backup".

Important: Never connect a laser printer to the "Battery backup" outlets because to power draw is just too high.

Have you made sure that the battery is connected inside the UPS? (If the battery is user-replacable)

You may do a simple experiment. Connect you UPS you a wall outlet and plug a conventionnal lamp to a battery backup outlet. Then, unplug the UPS from the wall. If the light goes off, then you may have a problem with your UPS.

Loss of data when battery goes dead?

-are all pda's this way? All PocketPCs are this way. I don't own a P**m so I can't speak to them. -When the main battery depletes to the point where the unit shuts off how long do you have before data is lost? Until the backup battery dies. -Is the backup battery just used when changing main batteries or does it take over when the main battery goes dead? If so how long do you have before it is dead? I've never had it happen, so I cannot say how long, but if you continue to try to use the PDA on the backup battery it won't be long (minutes) if it even lets you do that. The backup is there to bridge over battery changes and to act as a safety net if you run the main batteries totally flat. -does the backup battery recharge or does it have to be replaced? Replace. -with a fully charged unit how long can it be left off before data is lost? Depends on the machine. Most of us leave the thing in the charger overnight every night, so this issue doesn't come up. You could try an experiment for 1, 2, 3 days, looking each day at the battery remaining and work up an estimate. I would expect maybe a week or more. Remember, even "off" the machine is still drawing power to maintain the RAM memory.
