Question about Olympus FE-270 Digital Camera
The camera turns on, it takes clear pictures, but the lcd screen is grey, with vertical lines. i cannot access the menu options, because the LCD screen i malfunctioning. its like the camera is showing only a small fraction of the image, and its duplicating it across the screen. This is my auntie's camera, and she said that she dropped it, and that is when it started to it. I also do not see any cracks or signs that the LCD screen is broken.
The problem you are describing is a problem with one of the chips in the camera that controls image processing. It seems to have failed and needs to be replaced. Following are the instructions to send your camera to Olympus for service.
