Question about Palm Tungsten T2 Handheld

1 Answer

Tungsten t2 screen damage!!!

I bought my palm used.  At first the screen response was great!  As time wore on, the screen seemed to loose responsivness.  I have calibrated it numerous times, I have hard booted, and it seemed to get worse.  I used a screen protector, from the palm one store, and when I removed the first one, it seems part of the screen itself came off with the screen protector.  I'm not interested in a new model, however if that is the cheapest route, then i will consider that.  Is there a screen replacement technician who can do this sort of repair, what's the cost, and please help!!!  I use this thing every day and it seems it has become an integral part of my life.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Here is a link for the software you need. Download it to your desktop and then do a hotsync to your palm. Best wishes. If this doesn't help the second link is for the free palm chat feature. Scroll to the bottom where it says Palm chat and then click on the link that says chat now. Best wishes.

My Palm tungsten E2 hand held PDA is totally frozen and locked up

Best thing to do here is to remove any memory cards etc.. and do a hard reset - seems like soft reset will or has not worked...

Press and hold the power button - keep it pressed and gently press the reset button on the back of the handheld.
Wait for the Palm Powered logo to appear and release the power button.
You should get a message warning about erasing all data. Press up on your 5-way navigator to reset.

This will erase all data inlcuding user information from the device, but synchronizing should get it all back - but you will loose anything that was not recently sync'd

good luck

Palm issue

Sounds like you have a memory sucking program running in the background. If you're using a launcher you may want to get rid of it. If your not sure which program on your PDA is hogging the processor you may just want to get rid of any programs that you don't use on a daily basis.
Also if you are running a program off of an SD card then it is going to run slower than if you put it on the actual PDA. Then there is the possibility that you put enough data on your program to slow the start up time.
