You need to go to the brothers sight and down load the utility program, and install it. If you can't get it there go to WWW.driversguide.com.
Good Luck

My printer cant clean itself

Hi there

If it cannot clean itself, clean it manually by removing the ink cartridge and use clean cloth to wipe the ink residue on the print head. Plug it again and try to print again.

My ink cartridges are new but I am getting blanks - the printer is not printing at all despite the paper running through.

Try finding the setting for it to clean itself, IF it comes with that setting, normally printer should, so just look around in the setting menu for a self-cleaning option, and let it do its work :) if it has no setting for self-cleaning, then try to clean it yourself then install the ink cartridges again.
