Question about Epson Stylus CX3810 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My paper won't feed properly. Error message is paper jam, but it just seems like the rollers won't feed the paper into the printer, not matter what paper setting I'm using at the time.
I have taken a piece of cardboard, like the ones you get with a new shirt, size it to 8.5 x 11, and tell the printer to print a test page. hand feed the cardboard thru, and most times it will clean out the residual paper pieces stuck in the internal rollers. I have used this method several times and was successful 99% of the time. It isn't rocket science, but It may work. You will probably have to push the cardboard thru, but do not force it to much. It will not go thru easily on its own. Just a suggestion.

Paper feeder problem. Actually, most caused by rubber deteoritation. Pick up rubber (top and bottom) has grip. You can buy a set of paper feeder about $25, or maintanenance that. Just add tape (double side tape) under rubbers. And check lubrication at paper feeder.

85% of paper jams are caused by worn rollers . The rubber treads in the rollers wears down, making them smooth, so they won't pick up the paper. Sometimes, they are aged, which also gives them a smoother rounded texture, causing jams. The quick fix is to liven up that roller with a mixture of alcohol and soap. Damp a rag with the solution and wipe the rollers clean with it. That's make them more pliable and the paper jams will cease. If you plan to keep your printer,
Replace the pick-up and feed rollers.
