You said that you have changed the batteries.
While you're checking the batteries, make sure that the
contacts for the batteries aren't corroded or bent. You can clean them
with a pencil eraser followed by a nail file. If necessary, gently bend
them back to their correct position.
Try these too,
- Go up to the receiver and try changing the channels without using the Remote Control.
- Refer to the Remote Control setup instructions, and make sure you have the correct codes programmed for your equipment.
- Make sure nothing is blocking the front of the receiver (e.g., furniture).
- Make sure you are operating the Remote Control within 20 feet of the receiver.
If all the above doesnt work,
Then
Either the remote or the receptor on the device is not functioning.
1. Use an Infrared Sensor Card to see if the remote is sending a signal.
2. If the remote is sending a signal, it used to control that device, and
no other solution works, you should have a service center look at the
device and remote to determine the problem and if it can be fixed.
