Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook
I got a virus, and now my Internet Explorer wont connect. I have inputted the IP over and over again, I also bought Norton Antivirus and installed it. It is clean now, but it will not connect to the internet. Any ideas?
Try putting in https://www.microsoft.com
Or www.filehippo.com where you can download a copy of the latest IE to re-install it is case you have a corupted file in the old installation
Finally were you using Zone Labs as a Firewall if so then you may still have their True Vector Monitor running in the background , you need to go into "Search" put in True Vector and delete any files it finds with that name)
You really wasted your money on Norton , it slows the machine down big style and is a pain
NOD32 Anti Virus is a much better product and a combination of a router with its built in Firewall and the standard Windows Firewall give you as much protection
