The red button is just for the warning label. Did you pull the nozzle down. This nozzle is an adjustable nozzle. You push it in and this is for the soap injector and you pull it out for the pressure. If you have done this, then you may need to replace the nozzle. You can even put a quick diconnect on the end and use the small tips you can buy local or replace with the same type nozzle.
Also check to see if there is something blocking the hole.

Stanley motorised pressure washer. Cant get the water to flow

Disconnect the wand from the washer if you get water coming out of the discharge, the problem is in your wand or the line is plugged going to the wand.

No water comes out of the wand

Try priming the pump first. Connect the water to the pump, turn the water on full blast, without turning the washer switch ON, pull the handle valve full OPEN. If water comes out, allow it to run to remove any air lock. When a steady stream appears, turn the pump switch on and see if pressure is present. If no pressure is found your inner pump is probably seized, seek repairs. If pressure pulsates, piston is worn or there is grit in the internals. Never add washing soda, grit, or corrosive chemicals before the pump to aid in cleaning, they will wear out the piston and score the sleeve.

@dstephensond
Have you tried pouring water into the wand and see if it comes out the other end.To me it sounds like the wand is blocked at the end.Or try blowing in to it and put your hand at the end to see if you feel the air coming out.If it's blocked with calcium pour in some CLR leave it over night and see if it worked.If it's a piece of dirt take and air hose and blow air from the nozzle end out towards where you attach it to the gun.

Can't get water to come threw nozzel

Sounds like you may have some calcium buildup in the hose, gun or unloader. Take the unloader (where the hoses hookup) apart and clean away the deposits. This should solve your problem.

replace the plug. remove the wand and force water back through it to unplug it and the hose.

There is no steam or water coming from nozzel

First check the end of the spout to make sure it is not blocked, also check the parnello for blockage. If both of those are clear and when the knob is open you can hear the pump trying to work then it is blocked at either at the valve entrance or at the wand entrance.

When garden hose is connected to the pressure washer no water comes out of the wand, engine is off.

Dear radcongirl,
Try removing the high pressure hose from the machine. Then connect the water hose and see if water comes out of the outlet.( you can also try this by putting on the machine for a few seconds). If water comes out of the outlet, then you have a problem in the high pressure hose or the wand and trigger. Check also the lance and nozzel for blockage.
I do not know what kind or model of machine you have, but most machines the water always comes out of the outlet when water is fed to the inlet. In bigger machines this cannot happen because they have a reserve tank.
Regards,
Fulltech.
