With the RCA RP 5012B digital recorder, is there a way to connect to a PC and download the sound files? I don't seem to have the right cable.

I was wondering the same thing. Is there a way to download the voice recordings onto the computer with a certain cable? Any solutions?

What is the required cable for it? The only relevant holes are MIC and EAR which are for a microphone and earpiece, and then DC 3V. How can one make the transfer?

i bought a male-to-male 3.5 mm cable as suggested and tried NowSmart's Audio Recording Wizard and Audacity, but both record static. I need detailed instructions please...

It is not possible to download the sound files in their digital forms with this model of recorder. The only way to transfer the recordings is to connect a male-to-male 3.5mm (1/8") plug from the recorder to the line input of the PC (as was formerly mentioned) and record it onto the PC in real time. I've done this with mine and it works just takes longer to do than tranferring the actual digital file to the PC. A good MP3 recorder for the PC is Audio Record Wizard.

The full version costs $25, but I think it's worth it.

Go to Radio Shack and get a double male 3.5mm jack. It's not much, maybe $3. Make sure you have software that can record, though.

I have an RCA Digital Voice Recorder Model No: RP 5015A I noticed when I have the AVR activated and the battery dies after being on for so long... It still saves the file that it was recordig on, but it...

This model saves audio files to internal memory therefore it seems everytime it drains battteries out it loses the data. Consider a new model with Memory Card or buy normal batteries that drain out after 12-15 months or Duracell precharged rechargeable ion batteries they say last 5 years.

Copy RCA Digital Recorder to CD

Hello the way you are trying to do it is more complicated, I recommend sell your unit and upgrade to another unit that transfer audio files fast and will give you more time recording and better record quality for example this model has a software the is really easy to record in to a CD on different audio formats if you want plus you will received a Dragon® NaturallySpeaking® 9 Recorder Edition that you can change audio to text the price is really good check it if you want Good luck

How can a recover delited recordings from my rca

Follow this: First things first: DO NOT take any more recordings with the the same recorder that you want to recover files from.
Then take the memory card or hard drive out of your recorder, and connect it to your computer as it should appear as a "Removable Drive" or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Then install this software Wondershare Photo Recovery (recover videos and audio files too) on your computer. Then start to scan and see if your deleted files can be got back. Get the program from:

For Windows Version
For Mac version

Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to your digital recorder(card or disk) until you can recover your files safely!
I hope you good luck! Regards
