Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

My Xbox has a blue screen when on

I was playing it and went straight to black screen. When i went to turn it back on the four lights around the power button are red and a blue screen like if it's not even tuned on. I already checked the connections. they are all pluged in. the tray opens

The lights indicate the system has crashed. Most cases you have to send your 360 back to Microsoft to repair it. This happend to a few friends of mine when the systems first came out.

My TV had the same problem. From my experience try when turning the TV on changing the TV channel on the TV not the remote.

TV was playing, then the screen turned black.


If the screen is black and you have sound then lightly press and shine a strong flashlight against the screen. If you see an image around the edge of the flashlight, an image is being 'displayed'. The problem is probably in the Inverter/CCFT or the power going to the Inverter.

Red lights... ? (different i think)


I had the same exact thing happen. The only thing to do is call 18004myxbox and have it sent out for repair. Ask to speak with a manager though, because they can usually give you a better price than the initial guy. If it's still under warranty though it won't cost anything. So weird that this happened to me playing the same game. Just got mine back yesterday.

you got the red light of doom man my advice is to go onto the web find away to make 3 red lights apppear then sned it into microsoft its covered under you warranty but 1 or 2 red lights are not
