Picture appears to be trying to scramble

I turned my television on yesterday afternoon (1 day AFTER the extended warranty i bought expired). The picture was fine. Then it started going back and forth between a good picture and then it was almost like the channel was starting to scramble. i tried different channels as well as my DVD player. It's the tv I believe. But there are just a bunch of lines going across the screen, again, like i'm getting a bad signal or the channel is scrambled. Any ideas?

Have exactly the same problem red blue and green their but scrambled. A bad hyper board. Toshiba really is going to hear it from me. If they have already discontinued this part they will be taking care of it! Thanks for the info. 2 of the same TV's have the same defect. Sounds like they bought cheap parts inside.

8 days out of warranty

TV is in protect mode because of an internal error,

Try unplugging power cable for ten minutes.

If it does not clear the error , then you will need a technician.

Call factory to check if you can get an extended warranty.

I have an HP 6500 printer. Worked fine yesterday, today am getting the message "the cartridge cradle cannot move. Please turn device power off. Check device for a paper jam or other...

Check to see if your credit card offers extended warranty. That's why I buy EVERYTHING on an American Express card, which adds 1 year of warranty beyond the manufacturer's on everything you buy.

These devices are disposable, and HP is particularly fragile. I wouldn't buy another HP product. When you decide to replace this, you'll be a lot happier with Canon or Epson.

Tv black out on me and it stop working. No red power light.

My friend bought a Poloroid tv, similiar to yours. The power supply went bad 2 weeks after warranty expired; he had to pay to have a whole new power supply installed - roughly $250. Two weeks later my Toshiba (same age) won't turn on - no lights or anything. Same thing - power supply. Sounds like yours is in the same category. Hopefully you bought the extended warranty.

The tv popped and I now have no picture and no song

probably blew the power supply board, very common problem. call 1-800-samsung, if warranty expired recently, and you complain about it they will probably extend the warranty for this problem.

TV UNDER WARRANTY & NO RESPONSE FROM DEALER JAN.6,2009

Hello,

All too often, extended and third party warranties are not honored as they should be. Some are even totally worthless. The general plan of a lot of third-party warranties is to hold the customer off until the warranty expires, and then deny it. If this was an extended warranty through the Rex store, then consider talking to a lawyer as soon as possible. One letter from an attorney may be all it takes. Or even the threat of going to an attorney is enough some times. It is a legally binding agreement that expires, so once it is up, they will almost certainly deny your claim.

Almost all extended warranties have a time frame for repair, and more specifically replacement! If they cannot repair the TV within a certain amount of time, then they should replace it.

I hope this helps you...

I have recently purchased a Samsung PS50P91FD 50 Inch Plasma Tv. The problem is every now and then while watching tv or playing the xbox the picture is lost and a either the screen goes green or orange...

If this set is still within the warranty period, return it for warranty service. Since this is an intermittant problem, I would request an exchange. If they won't exchange the set (even after going up the chain of management), provide specifics about the problem. State up front that this is an intermittant problem. Once reported, the warranty kicks in even if the problem doesn't become hard and fast until after the warranty has expired since the initial report occurred before the warranty expiration. This is not a problem caused by external devices.

Wont turn on

I would contact the warranty because if you even take 1 screw out you will void your warranty, and your set is experiencing deflection problems which can be exspensive to repair
