The most fridges i have stripped the pipes are on the left hand side and the power wires on the right hand side but if the pipe is drilled thru it is only the oil cooled pipes it can be disconnected the important piper are at the back of the frige i hope this will help you

You should be able to drill a hole on the side of it, all the pipework is at the rear of the fridge, i have done this is several of my fridges and for customers, 2 for chilled water , another for the yummy beer and the last to keep a laser cutter cool and it worked a treat , but i also use copper tubing inside the fridge as it conducts cold air better than plastic, without leaving a taste behind, however u may need to install a pump and a flow and return set up inside the fridge for it to work to its optimum level, hope this helps

I want to drill a hole for beer gas line in side or back but cannot find a schematic. Is there anywhere to avoid?

YES
the evaporator sections ( most are in the back and some include in the sides as well)
normal fridges do not have evaporator sections in the floor of the fridge as cold air always falls to the bottom so in from the bottom and out through the bottom would be the way to go
make the cooling coils with end connections so that all you need is 2 holes and the pipes straight up and then connected to the cooler colis

Kegerator no longer running cold

You need a new start device if your compressor is not running/pumping.That is the box on the side of the compressor .If you can put your hand on the compressor to make sure it (compressor) is than you have a Freon leak. The small line copper coming off the compressor should be between 75 & approximately 85 if its not ho you have Freon leak somewhere.

I want to drill a hole in the side of my freezer for beer lines. where should i drill

Hi,

Somewhere near the center of one of the sides is best.... but it can still be a guess and by golly deal....

Just keep the beer handy and if you hit a refrigerant line just down a few to make you feel better... :-)

Beer tap

Good day,
If it has the condensor coil mounted on the back of the machine.
(black coil) then yes, VERY DANGEROUS. Refrigeration lines run at an angle from the bottom back of the machine at an angle and terminate at the bottom of the freezer door.
This applies to both sides. Hit one of those and your finished.

I want to modify a compact refrigerator (GE 4.5 cu ft) and replace it's thermostat with one that will hold the fridge temperature about 55degrees F. I am doing a homebrew of Lager beer which needs a bit...

You don't need a diagram. The present control just makes and breaks the line voltage to the compressor. Just put your other thermostat in place of the original and you are set. Just two wires: line in and line out.

I want to use my freezer for beer. Can I raise the temperature by changing the thermostat? Any other suggestions besides using a fridge?

Not sure of your make/model. If its a standalone freezer you could exchange the termostat with a Fridge, or you could jury rig a seperate line voltage thermostat with probe in the compartment, which you would plug the fridge into and would override the internal thermostat (internal thermostat would always be calling for cooling because the line voltage thermostat would be set higher--any time the temp increased above the set point on the line voltage tstat the relay would close and the freezer would run). An anti freeze alarm coupled to a simple relay or contactor would work for this purpose... depending on how handy you are I could explain all the necessary components...

BEER COOLER ICE PROBLEM

First, dont overstock your beer, good circulation is key. Make sure your condenser coils are clean. Find a happy setting with the help of a thermometer to cool between 35 - 42 degrees. To defrost I put big zipl-loc bags of ice on top of beer. Turn temperature all the way up (the compressor will cut off but the fan will keep running) for a few hours. When the ice is thick i put HOT water in a squirt bottle and spray sections in the ice. Play around with that and see if it works. Hopefully you don't have a bad condenser. Good luck!

Shut of the CO2 tank, then hit the pressure release valve on the side of the beer tap. Make sure there is a grey check valve in the tap where the red hose (co2) is connected. Also make sure the white ball in the tap where the white hose (beer line) is not stuck. You can remove this, it isnt really necessary. Once all checks out, open the tank and readjust the co2 regulator. The reading should not be more than 12 PSI. Everything should work just fine after this. Make sure the glass is as close to the faucet as possible (slanted is better) when dispensing beer. Hope this help :)
